CHAPTER SIX:
"Don't forget! Your next history exam is monday! It will count as a test, so it is highly recommended that you study!" The perky voice of Ms. Calliope, your peppy history teacher, overpowered the chatting voices of the teenage assholes surrounding you. They all stopped mid-conversation to groan. You, on the other hand, didn't really mind. You loved history, and passed every test and quiz you've ever taken in that class.
The sound of the dismissal bell pierced the sounds of sighing and groaning, and turned into sounds of relief and excitement. Thank god it was Friday, even though it felt like this whole week was equivalent to a year. You walked down the hall to your locker to find Eridan standing beside it waiting for you like he had everyday for the past few weeks.
"Hey," he smiled as you twisted the lock to input your locker combination. It worked, but the locker appeared to be jammed. He immediately took action and slammed it with his fist as hard as he could, and it abruptly opened.
"Thanks, Mr. Show-Off," You said laughing under your breath. He chuckled and shook his head. You shoved your books in your messenger bag and shut your locker. The two of you started walking home together.
"Plans tonight?" He asked.
"Nah. I thought I would just stay home and watch Supernatural all night," Not very different plans from any other Friday.
"Real productiv-ve, Ar. Hey, i w-was w-wonderin', can you help me study for History? I kinda need to bring my grade up in that class, and I know-w how-w good you are at History,"
"Sure. I'll walk home with you then. I have all my notes with me,"
The two of you talked about grades and classes and which teachers you loved or hated. Arriving at Eridan's house, you saw only one car in his drive-way. You've been in that car enough to know it was Eridan's. Looks like you two would be alone.
He opened the door and politely let you in first. Holy fucking shit, this place was huge. He lead you up a spiral staircase that lead to a hallway with three huge rooms. He opened the door to the last one down the hall, which was his. Once inside, he sat himself down on a full-sized bed with his backpack next to him, pulling out the notes from the week. You joined him after a few seconds of gawking at the gigantic room.
There was a small sofa in the corner of the dark violet room, facing a fairly large flat screen TV. In the other corner there was a black desk with an expensive looking laptop, a CD player, a set of headphones, and a pile of CD's.
You talked about the War of 1812 for only about twenty minutes, then it was all giggles and laughter. He appeared to completely understand everything, which made you wonder why he asked for extra help.
"Really? Because I think Andrew-w Jackson is a lot more attractiv-ve than me!" He laughed, you laughing right back.
"Nope! No one's more attractive than Andrew Jackson!" You replied jokingly between giggles.
"W-well there is one other person more attractiv-ve," He gave off a sly smile towards you.
"Ooh? Mr. Ampora's got a crush?"
"Maybe."
"Well, it'd be nice if I knew who."
"Fine. I'll just fuckin show-w you then." He leaned in toward you, smashing your lips together in a passionate tangle. You, of course, returned the favor. Your face was lit brightly with blush as he pulled away from you slowly.
"So you've got a thing for me?"
"That I do, Ar. It, of course, w-would be nice to know-w that you'd w-wanna be my girlfriend?"
"No," You states blankly.
"No?" He looked a bit crushed, which made you feel bad.
"I'm not really into the whole 'dating' thing."
"One chance. Just one. That's all I'm askin' of ya. If you decide you don't w-wanna date me after one date, I'll nev-ver bother ya again."
You thought for a minute. He liked you? God, were you stupid. How could you not see it? Was it obvious? You sighed. "One date?"
"One date."
You clicked your tongue in thought. One date didn't sound THAT bad. "Fine."
"Aw-wesome," He smiled giddily, blushing a bit. "Tonight w-work? I know-w you w-wanted to w-watch your Supernatural Nextflix marathon, so I w-was thinkin' w-we could w-watch it together? Order a pizza maybe?"
"Sure. Casual dates are the best," Huh, maybe you were gonna actually enjoy this. Thinking about it, you two would actually make quite the good couple. You had similar music interests and opinions. It might actually work. "I'll be back in ten minutes with my pajamas and a bag of chips."
