after laughing i take a shower, the water almost as warm as tris's arms where around me. evelyn went out to town to have fun so i am alone, i scream. i scream so loud my throut hurts, i scream again. quietly i say tris and groan. its hard to think that shes gone.
how can she be dead? she... survived jainene, death serum, bullets, other serums, divergence, peter, marcus, factionless, evelyn, ME. but david, he killed her, shot her in the neck and i didnt get to say goodbye. i miss her: blonde hair, soft hugs, beautiful glassy blue eyes, her toughness, i miss my striking tris.
its bad to grieve this much espeacally after two years. to get my mind off of her i go to bed but i dream of her. i dream of when we were in the amity compound, after she was given the peace serum. she was on a mission to kiss me. my lips were her target, she scared me so much when that happend acting so crazy though it was not her fault.
i remember when she serum wore off, she was so mad... i almost killed the doctor that gave it to her. her eyes had an innocent, sad look in them. i later found out she killed will, that didnt shock me i was just scared that she was going to break.

i wake up around ten o'clock and eat some cereal. evelyn is still asleep when i finish eating and walk outside. i see so many people outside in colorful clothes. after the genetically damaged/ pure war the factions dissapeared and do now everyone is allowed to weaar or act however they choose.
i go over ro zeke's house and we go get coffee and cake, we talk about eric <who is dead now> and how stupid he was during the initiation. I dont even know why we talk about him, but i guess its better than talking about tris or uriah. uriah passed away as well, because i was watching after him. he fell into a coma and died two days after tris, so i guess im not the only one hurt from loss.
somehow evelyn found out were zeke lives, or she was stalking me, because she walked into zekes house. she didnt knock or ring the doorbell she just walked in. she looks paranoid, like someone knows something that they shouldnt.
"What." i ask
"Nothing." she replies as i said before she looks and sounds paranoid.
i sip my coffee silently until zeke enterupts the silence:
"Get out Evelyn." he says calmly.
she stays put as he pionts to the door. i look at evelyn and i nod she gets up and leaves, thank goodness! i need to talk to her so i poliltly thank zeke for the coffee and cake, tell him goodbye, and leave.
when i get home i sslam the door behind me.
"What the heck was that?!?!" i yell at her.
"Why dont you go ask christina i was just talking to her?"
i grab my jacket and go to christinas place. i ring the doorbell about a thousand times before she answers. when she opens the door i walk inside and sit down on the floor.
"i have a couch right there." she says pionting to a l shaped couch.
"Whats going on?" i ask. "why was evelyn at your house? and why were you two talking?!"
" you better get comfortable we need to talk, its important." she says her voice shakes.
i sit on her couch and hold onto a small pillow, she is making me nervous.
"First of all..." she starts. "I had no intintion on talking to evelyn I was walking near the Amity compound and I saw Marcus and Evelyn talking so i walked closer to hear what they where saying because it looked important. so as i got closer i heard marcus say something about tris."
Tris. My heart stops... Marcus, talking about tris.
"Then i heard evelyn ask marcus if he still had tris... and...." she chokes on her words. "He said that after tris went into that room david put paralysation serum in the room and into the gun he shot her with and after it worked, david took her to his lab and she is still there... alive.
the word 'ALIVE' jolts me to attention but i let her continue the story.
"Then marcus asked evelyn why she had david do that and evelyn said because she didnt approve of tris and her opinions and she wanted you to herself." she says while tears slowly fall from her eyes.
