Hiya! I made this chapter into parts cos I got bored of writing from Cherrykits POV :/ it's really really reeeeeeeally short (hopefully I can make a longer part), but enjoy! 💗
CHAPTER 3 PART 1
Cherrykit
Cherrykit sighed to herself. Why did Mallowkit even want to watch a boring medicine cat anyways? I’ll show her. I’ll…. I’ll… I’ll catch a mouse! No, a rabbit! That’ll show her it’s better than learning about boring old herbs.
Cherrykit raised her nose, just how Pebblepaw had shown her. She sniffed as hard as she could. Suddenly she could smell a mouse. I suppose I could catch a mouse aswell as a rabbit. She thought. That would really show her! She padded through the leaves, trying not to crunch any of them, and soon the small grey pelt of the mouse appeared.
She crouched down, her tail swishing, brushing the crisp leaves.
The mouse looked up in alarm and scampered off.
Fox dung!!! She hissed in her head, and began to race after it.
She darted after it through the marshlands and into an area full of foliage and nature.
The mouse darted into a tiny hole in the bottom of a tree, and Cherrykit clawed the ground angrily, but then got distracted.
‘What is that smell!?’ Cherrykit screwed up her nose, and continued wandering through the undergrowth.
The pine trees were silhouetted against the blue sky, filtering the sunlight through the gnarled branches. The earth was damp under her paws.
‘Where am I?’ She thought, confessing to herself, despite the smell, it was a pretty cool area.
‘And what are you doing here?’ A deep voice growled, spitting out each word in disgust.
