I looked down at the scale, ultimately disappointed at the number that stared back at me. I stepped off an sat on my bed, hugging my knees close to me. Nothing seemed to be going right for me these days.
My parents kept commenting snarky things on my higher than average weight so I've been 'dieting.' If you call not eating anything but an apple for the whole day a diet. And seeing as my weight has only gone down a little, it didn't help my self esteem.
And of course the kids at school couldn't just leave me alone about it either. Being the new kid with weight problems was harsh. Nobody stopped to talk to me to actually learn about my nice and outgoing personality. People just saw someone different, someone not perfect and they decided to point it out.
And that changed my personality towards people face to face a lot. I just couldn't express what I wanted to when I saw people.
I was lonely, and albeit I knew there was no need, I was desperate for someone to talk to.
Sighing, I walk over to my computer, logging on to my blog. It was the only way I could escape and show my true colors.
It was funny, everyone seemed to hate me in real life. But when they got to my fashion blog they seemed to be hooked up. It was fun to see people who liked to pick on me follow my fashion advice and turn up at school wearing something familiar to what I had posted. It was like a little game.
But it wasn't just my success, I also had to thank my neighbor for modeling the clothes. Although not fond of me, she agreed to model if she could borrow the clothes she wanted.
I scrolled through the comments to distract my mind from my empty stomach, an action I found myself doing often to diminish my hunger.
When my cravings had stopped, I got up to my sewing machine and decided to continue making the outfit I had in mind. It would be a simple casual wear type of thing. And although I had personally made it, other girls could find similar items in the store to try and match.
I checked my phone for my neighbor's measurements to be sure I was correct. It was a thing that no matter how many times I made clothes for her, I couldn't remember.
