"Marinette, come down here please!" Sabine yells. "Coming Mom!" Marinette responds as she walks towards the stairs. "What do you need?" She comes down to find her parents standing arm in arm right at the foot of the stairs "Honey, we have some...news" Tom says, looking at Sabine. "What is it?" Marinette asks alarmingly. "Is something wrong?"
"Well, the patisserie isn't doing too well and your Uncle Cheng has some extra space at his house. Your Mother has been missing her family and since we can't really afford the bakery anymore we figured we should move in with Cheng until we can get back on our feet". You could tell he was so worried about what Marinette was going to say, but she was so mad that she wasn't paying attention. "WHAT!? WHAT ABOUT ALYA, AND NINO, AND...AND ADRIEN!? YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME, I CAN'T JUST LEAVE MY LIFE HERE!" she shrieked.
Tom begins to speak but Sabine signals him to stop. "I got this" she silently mouths out to him. "Marinette, let's talk upstairs." "NO MOM!!! I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU!" Marinette screams as she runs upstairs to her room. "Well you sure did have that Sabine." Tom said sarcastically, with a ting of sadness in his voice.
Marinette stands on her terrace, crying and thinking about how she is going to live without Adrien and Chat and all of her other friends."How am I supposed to tell Alya?" she wonders to herself. Then she remembers her duty as ladybug, which only pushes her to cry even more. Chat vaults on Marinette's roof, jumps behind her and wraps his arms around her waist.
"Whats up Purrincess?" he says not seeing that Marinette is bawling her eyes out. Marinette prys his arms from her hips and pushes him away. "Leave me alone Chat." He stumbles backward, realizing that something isn't right. "Hey, what's wrong" he says softly and lays his hand on her shoulder. "Nothing that concerns you." she answers. He tightens his grip on her shoulder and turns her around, revealing her red, puffy face. "Princess, you can tell me anything."
"I can't be your princess anymore Chat. Now leave me alone!"  She just wanted him to leave. "What do you mean Marinette? What is going on?" Chat asked. She started to let her guard down, now wanting him to comfort her.
"Chat, I'm so sorry but I am not ready to tell you yet." She turned to him "Just be here for me Chat. I need you here for me." She lays her forehead on his shoulder. "Of course, Princess. I will always be here for you. You know that, right?"
"I know Chat, thank you." She takes her head off of his shoulder and looks into his eyes, he smiles awkwardly. "You're the best" she says and kisses him on the cheek. His whole face turns red. He glances away.
"I know, I am pretty purrfect." He says as he smiles smugly. "Yeah, you're pawsitively purrfect" she says. "Oh no" Chat says.
"What?"
"Two puns in the same sentence? I think you're coming down with something." She grins "Oh really? Maybe it's Chat fever." Chat smirks. "I like the sound of that, it has a nice ring to it."
