Chapter Five: Meeting The Man

After the plane had landed, Tom helped me get my things and walked with me to the baggage claim. People were starting to notice him a bit, and I sensed he was trying to hurry. He offered to stay with me, but I said no, even though I wanted him to.

I was listening to my ring, waiting for Sky to pick up, thinking how sweet and polite Tom was. Now I know why Sky chose a British man-

"Hello, Mackenna?"

I'm pulled from my thoughts, then I answer,

"Yeha, hey. I'm here."

"We're looking for you! Where are you?"

"By the baggage claim."

"Alright, see you in a second."

I hang up, then look around for my best friend's beautiful blonde hair. I spot her, and start walking to her. She embraces me, and I hug her back.

"It's been so long!" She exclaims, pulling away to look over me. "You look great!"

"Thanks, so do you!" I smile, following her out of the airport to a car. It had been a long time since I had seen Sky. Almost a year now! I place my things in the back of the car, then slide in, and am greeted by a pair of brown eyes looking at me in the car mirror. The owner of the eyes then turns around, smiling at me.

"Hello, you must be Mackenna. Skylar has told me quite a bit about you, and it's very nice to meet you." he says, with a accented voice. Ah so this is James.

I smile back, nodding. "Thank you. It's nice to meet you as well." I reply as Sky gets in the car and turns the radio on.

It's about a twenty minute drive from the airport to Sky's flat. Her flat is small, and quaint, but it's her. And plus, she won't be living here once she's married. I look around at her various paintings and drawings on the wall, then I see one that really catches my eye. It's a drawn portrait of Tom as Loki, full horns and all.

She must've noticed me looking at it because she chuckles and says, "I figured you would like that one." I turn, smiling widely.

"It's very good! Also, I need to tell you something."

She nods, walking to the couch and sitting, patting the spot next to her. I take it, and wiggle slightly, almost bursting with excitement,

"You'll never guess who I met today."

"Who?"

hello my darlings! I think this is all that will be updated tonight. I'm quite tired, and my eyes are starting to cross!

Sorry if this chapter was a bit boring, I just thought we should meet Sky and James, cause if it wasn't for them Mackenna wouldn't have met Tom right?
