I slept a few hours before waking up to a crack of thunder as lightning flashed outside my motel room window. I sat straight up in bed gasping for breath. After I calmed down enough for my breathing to even out I got up and went through the contents of my purse. I pulled a smart phone out and started looking for suspicious activity nearest to Kansas. I figured this would be the best way to find the boys. If I find a nearby case either they're already there or they will be soon.

Sam's P.O.V.
I showered while Dean, who showered before I did, got ready in the room. When I was clean and had my usual FBI suit on I stepped out of the bathroom door. Steam followed me out as I dried my wet hair with one of the threadbare towels. Movement at Dean's bed caught my eye. When I looked over Dean was sliding something under his pillow. I crossed the room and pulled out Leah's fake badge from under his pillow. Ever since Leah disappeared with Crowley, Dean has went downhill. He's drinking more, a lot more. He's grouchy all the time and there's a hardness in his eyes that only gets more intense when he's had too much to drink.
"We can still look for her. I'm more than willing to help. I miss Leah too, Dean." I offered even though I knew it wouldn't do much good.
"No. The answer is still no." Dean said stubbornly as he took the badge back from me
"Have you asked Cas to look for her?" I asked as I threw the damp towel onto my bed.
"If she wanted to be here, she'd be here."
"Dean, that's hardly fair. She was kidnapped. Crowley took her."
"Maybe she belongs with him. Like father like daughter."
"You don't mean that."
"Oh, I do. This is the last time we have this conversation, Sammy." Dean said before grabbing his suit jacket and storming out the door.
I looked up at the motel room ceiling, unsure of what to do. Dean is the one that usually prays to Castiel.
"Could you keep an eye out for a sign of her, Castiel?" I asked softly. I felt like a big idiot when nothing happened. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting.
Leah's P.O.V.
After what felt like an eternity of searching I found a case in Missouri. A group of teenagers that had been out partying in the woods had all disappeared. That could be any supernatural creature that the guys taught me about. It's guaranteed to catch their attention and if I know Dean I know he'll want to at least check it out. I gather the few things I have and head out to find a parking garage. I'm going to need to borrow a car for a while.
It took a few tries but I finally got the wires on the Jeep Wrangler right. I headed out of the parking lot praying that I'd make it to Missouri before the owner reported it missing.
Two hours later I was walking down the street towards the town's motel. I ditched the Jeep as soon as I got here. It wouldn't do to be arrested before I could find the Winchesters. I found the parking lot at the motel empty. I let out a sigh and turned around, coming face to face with a trench coat clad angel.
"Jesus Christ!" I exclaimed as I jumped backwards, my fist raised out of instinct.
"No, I'm Castiel. We've met before." Cas said seriously.
"I know that, Cas. It was just an expression. Why are you showing up behind me in motel parking lots?"
"Sam asked me to keep an eye out for you." Cas answered.
Of course it would be the younger Winchester that made this request.
I nodded my head. "Do you know where they are?" I asked.
"In downtown. They're questioning a parent of one of the victims. Would you like me to take you to them?"
"No, thank you. I've had enough poofing around for a little while. I think I'll just walk." I told him, smiling. I started to walk away but stopped, turning back to look at Castiel. "Thank you for appearing here. I needed to see a friendly face."
Cas nodded slowly and then disappeared.
I walked to the downtown area which thankfully wasn't too far. I stopped on the sidewalk on the side of the street opposite from where the Impala was parked. Sam and Dean are no where in sight but I'm sure they will be soon. I leaned against a lamp post and watched the front door of the house, my fingers crossed behind my back. If Dean hates me I don't know what I'll do. I guess I could find Gavin. My only other option would be to go back to hell with Crowley. Living with my adoptive parents isn't an option. I haven't seen any missing ads out for me so I believe Crowley wiped their memories. They would have discovered that my note I left them was full of lies by now.
My train of thought along with the sadness building in my chest was interrupted by the front door of the house opening. The Winchester boys walked out and went down the steps towards the Impala. My heart jumped into my throat when my gaze landed on Dean. I watched as they opened the doors of the Impala and started to get in. This is my last chance unless I want to walk back to the hotel. My legs refused to cooperate with my brain. I can exorcise demons with my bare hands but I can't cross a street to talk to someone.
Luckily Sam looked up and spotted me. He stared for what must have been a full minute before he tapped on the roof of the Impala, getting Dean's attention. Dean's head whipped around towards me. Dean got out of the car and shut the door without looking at it. His eyes never left my face as he crossed the street almost running. He stood in front of me and we stared at each other for a moment, unable to speak.
I was almost convinced that Dean hated me until he grabbed my face and kissed me.
When the kiss broke I smiled, my first genuine one in days. The sweet moment was ruined when Dean opened his mouth.
"What the hell, Leah? Did Crowley being your dad just slip your mind?" Dean asked.
"I missed you too, Dean." I said still smiling. "And I love you too."
Dean stopped mid sentence and wrapped me in a hug.
"Shut up." He said smiling before continuing on with his bitching.
I looked up at Sam who shook his head and chuckled.
"I'm glad you're back, Leah." Sam said.
"Me too." I replied.
