I walked into Scott's room to see him mindlessly throwing things everywhere, while Stiles sat in a chair.

"What's going on?" Stiles looked up at me startled.

"Scott can't find his phone." He replied.

"Call it again." Scott interrupted us.

"It's not here." Stiles sighed.

"So you lost your phone. Why don't you just get a new one?" I asked as I sat down on the bed.

"I can't afford a new one. And I can't do this alone. We have to find Derek." Scott panicked.

"Well, A, you're not alone. You have us. And B, didn't you say Derek walked into gunfire? He sounds pretty dead." I looked down at my fingers as Stiles said this.

It's hard to admit to yourself that the person you're suppose to spend the rest of your life with, the one that makes you laugh, the one that you love, the one you would kill for, your other half, your soulmate is probably dead.

"Stiles!" I heard Scott seethe. "Argent's plan was to use him to get the Alpha. They're not gonna kill him."

"All right, so then just let them do what they're planning. You know? They use Derek to get Peter, problem solved." Stiles did have a good point but, I had a feeling it's not gonna work that way.

"Not if Peter's going after Allison to find Derek! I can't protect her on my own." Scott said as he walked out of his bathroom. "Which means we need to find Derek first."

"Scott, I've tried Derek's phone a thousand times. He isn't answering. Stiles is right Scott, what if they've already killed him." I whispered.

"Don't say that, not you Keegan! We're gonna find Derek, he isn't dead." I nodded my head as he looked at me.

"You know you probably lost it when you two were fighting. You remember that, when he was trying to kill you?" Stiles broke the silence. "After you interrupted him trying to kill Jackson? Are you starting to see a pattern of violent behavior here?"

"He wasn't going to kill anyone." Scott replied. "And I'm not letting him die."

"Could you at least think about letting him die?" I gave Stiles a glare before I threw one of Scott's shoes at him.

"Screw you Stiles." I yelled and walked out of the room.

I walked outside and sat on the swing from when Scott and I were younger. "Where are you Derek?" I felt my eyes start to water, and soon I couldn't control the tears that escaped my eyes and the sobs that escaped my lips.

------

I decided to skip school today incase Derek shows up. Of course Scott disagreed but, the person he loves isn't missing.

"Hello?" I asked into my phone.

"Hey, you coming to the mall?" Lydia's voice came through the speaker.

"Yeah, I'll meet you there." I hung up and changed into a pair of high waisted shorts and a crop top. I slipped on some sandals and grabbed my phone and purse before I walked downstairs.

I grabbed my keys and started my way to the mall. Once I spotted Allison and Lydia I walked up to them.

"Nothings wrong, I just have a lot on my mind." Allison told Lydia.

"You could smile at least. Ever heard the saying, 'Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile'." I smiled as Lydia laughed.

"Smile Allison, I'm buying you a dress." Lydia stated.

"Have to admit, as far as apologies go, that's more than I expected." Allison said.

"Excellent." Lydia sighed.

"But not as much as I'm going to ask." Allison looked at Lydia.

"What? What's that suppose to mean?" Lydia looked down.

"It means, you're going to cancel on whatever dumb, roided-up jock you said yes to and you're going to go with someone else." I smiled knowing who she was implying to.

"Who?" Lydia asked.

"Stiles." I smiled as Allison pointed at him.

"Oh, don't frown Lydia. Someone could be falling in love with your smile." I threw my head back in laughter after Allison said this.

Allison and I walked into the store and started going to the dresses. "Nicely done." I smiled at Allison and started looking through the dresses.

She smiled and done the same. I saw a grey strapless dress and grabbed it from the rod to see what it looked like in the mirror.

"That's not your color." I looked up to see Peter standing behind me. "Considering your skin tone, I'd go lighter."

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I watched his every move.

"Can I not come help my nephew's mate pick out a dress?" He tsked. I watched as he picked a dress from the opposite rod and held it up.
It was a light pink two piece and it had beads on the crop top and it clasped around the neck.

"Do you mind?" He asked as he grabbed my hand and started comparing my skin tone with the dress.

"You're here for another reason Peter. What is it?" I asked.

"I'm watching over your friends girlfriend." My eyes widened as I looked over at Allison to see her looking at a few more dresses.

"Don't touch her Peter." I breathed.

"No promises." Before I could say anything else he was gone quicker than I could blink.

"Can we go?" I asked as I walked up to Lydia and Allison.

"Yeah." They nodded and we paid for our dresses and shoes before leaving the mall.

------

I smiled at my reflection as I twirled in front of the mirror.

"Honey you look gorgeous." I looked up and saw Melissa in my doorway.

"Thanks." I smiled. But, that smile didn't really last long.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she sat down on my bed.

"It's just, I wish they were here you know?" I sighed and sat down next to her.

"I know hun, but listen to me. Your mom would have been proud to see the young woman you have turned out to be." Melissa pulled me into a hug and I sighed.

"Thanks Melissa." I pulled away from the hug and grabbed my phone and keys.

------

Scott and I pulled into the high school to see everyone walking inside.
Scott went to the roof as I held my head high and walked inside the school with a confident strut.
I was standing in the corner waiting for Scott when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned around just in time to hear someone say, "why hello, Keegan."
