"Can you walk any quieter?" I hiss at the twins who are thumping their feet like elephants as they walk along beside me.
"Sorry." I hear Fred reply. Their footsteps die down and I can only hear our breathing.
"We have nine minutes until everyone goes to lunch which means five minutes to plant dung bombs in the Great Hall and four minutes to set the fireworks."
"I've got a better idea. George you take the fireworks and put them in the courtyard while Maisey and I plant the dung bombs." Fred instructs.
"Why don't I get Maisey?" George whines.
"Because she is your girlfriend." Fred pokes his tongue out at his twin.
"That doesn't make sense." I but in, confused.
Fred sighs, "You two will probably end up snogging somewhere leaving me to do everything."
"Hey!" George and I scold together.
Fred grins and grabs my arm, "You don't deny it. We are losing time. Go."
George rolls his eyes and jogs out into the courtyard, Fred and I make our way, quickly, to the Great Hall.
"He really loves you, you know." Fred says out of the blue as we enter the hall. The four house tables still stand, with the teacher's table at the end, however Slytherin's table is obviously the favourite. The food has already appeared and the tables dressed in yellow, red and blue have a basic lunch. The green house however, holds rich, elegant food.
It takes me a moment to respond, "I know, and I love him a great deal too."
"He's thinking of proposing."
"Oh." I reply, lost for words again, I don't feel ready for a big commitment such as marriage. Marriage. The word frightens me. Yeah, I love George, a lot, but can I see myself settling down? I can't even see him settling down.
Fred hands me a bag of dormant dung bombs, "He's waiting for the right time though. There's a war going on Maisey, he's scared he'll lose you, he doesn't want to lose you."
I sigh and release a slight smile, "I don't want to lose him either." I walk over to the Slytherin table and lay a few dung bombs under each bench. I feel a whoosh of air flow past my ear. I spin around hurriedly and hold up my wand. Fred is smirking behind me, his wand raised.
"What are you doing?" I ask cautiously.
"Having a little fun with Slytherin." He waves his wand again. I turn back around and see that the Slytherin table is no longer holding a fantastic feast, but rather rotten apples, bananas, bread and what smells like rotten milk.
"You legend!" I praise, laughing out loud.
Fred shrugs and pretends to brush dirt of his shoulders, "I try Maia. I try."
~~~
George, Fred and I burst into fits of laughter as we hear loud outbursts within the Great Hall.
"Ready?" Fred asks, mounting his broomstick.
"It'll be just like last time." George replies with a smirk, rising into the sky.
I grin and follow the twins. We all raise our wands and wave them, the firework boxes below start to fizz and shoot off small sparks. Students are starting to rush out of the Great Hall due to the dung bombs. We fly over Hogwarts and away from the teachers, who too, are starting to enter the courtyard.
"Now!" George shouts. Once again, we wave our wands and the fireworks launch into the sky. They burst into beautiful colours over Hogwarts, and the signature 'W' for Weasley's Wizard Wheezes addresses the crowd below.
"YEAH!" Fred yells in triumph, flying towards Hogsmeade. George and I grin at each other and follow him.
~~~
"You must be Miss Maia Black."
I nod and take a seat behind the desk of Dr. Hobbs.
"Marigold has told me a lot about you. She repeatedly states that you have extrodinary, medical skills."
I feel my cheeks turning red, "Thank you sir."
"I have agreed to trial you as a Assistant Healer. After your trial week is up, the healer you will be assisting will report to me."
"Will I have Marigold again?" I ask hopefully.
Dr. Hobbs shakes his head and looks down at me through his abstract glasses, "No. Marigold is a nurse. Not a healer!" He snaps.
"Sorry." I reply, slightly embarressed.
"You can start the day after Christmas."
"Thank you sir."
"Good day." He shooes me out of his office.
~~~
"To Maia for being so smart!" George cheers, raising his firewhiskey bottle. Fred copies him with a grin.
I laugh and raise my glass of water. After year six at Hogwarts, I have decided that drinking any type of alcohol is not a good idea. Our glasses clink and we drink. The moon provides us with light as we sit by the pond.
"Congratulations Maia!" A voice shocks me from behind. I spin around to see the young, red head, her cheeks slightly flushed and her hair messy, but apart from that she looks healthy.
"Ginny!" I exclaim, racing forwards and pouncing on her. I hear thee twins chuckling behind me.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well Christmas is the day after next and Mum doesn't want me staying at Hogwarts during the break."
"Well I'm glad you're here." I grin, turning around to face Fred and George. "Isn't it just amazing that Gin is here?"
They both groan and roll their eyes, jokingly, earning a glare from Ginny.
"Now give me some firewhiskey." Ginny reaches her hand towards the bottle.
"Uh uh." Fred tsks, pulling the bottle away from her, Ginny pouts.
"You're underage missy." I shake my finger at her.
She laughs and rolls her eyes, "Maia, you suck."
Fred laughs loudly and I hear him mutter something under his breath. I raise an eyebrow at him, only imagining all the dirty things he is probably thinking up at this moment. George blushes red next to him.
"You guys are so immature." Ginny rolls her eyes and takes a sip of my water.
