June's prov

I woke up in a strange room with no memory of what had happened. My only thought was where is he, where's Cole, where is my husband. I sat up and saw a bunch of tubes connected to me and a machine. I looked around the room and saw the doctor writing on his clip bored. Excuse me sir, I said with a dryness in my throat. He looked at me with sorrow in his face and I asked him where my husband Cole is. I'm sorry to tell you this Mrs. Phillips but your husband didn't survive the accident, the doctor told me with a look of sorrow. I burst out in tears as the nurse that walked in unnoticed wrapped me in a tight hug. I had calmed down and looked at the doctor who had pulled the chair closer to the bed and sat down. Nurse, may I please speak with Miss. Philips alone he asked and she walked out. Please call me June, I said as best I could. My name is John and I would like to talk about your x-rays we took of you after the accident, he said with a look of concern. I looked at him with tears still in my eyes and said okay. We found some old fractures and breaks that healed wrong and we need to preform surgery on your right leg and left shoulder blade. I would also love to know how you broke them and if we need to call anyone like the cops John said to me. Surgery thank you and no I don't need you to call the cops on anyone, I said as he started to walk out. He stopped and turned back around by the way your father is here. Do you want him to come in? No, don't let him near me. On second thought please call the cops and get him away from me. He is the one who did this to me, he did it, hurt me my whole life, I said with more tears falling from my eyes. All of a sudden we heard where is that little bitch , down the hall.

I woke up relived that it was only a dream. I looked at the clock to see that it was 9 in the morning. I got up out of the bed and saw Cole asleep like the angel he is. I went into the bathroom with my clothes and started to shower. I wrapped myself in a towel dried my hair got dressed and walked out to see Cole stretching out on the bed. I jumped up on the bed and gave him a quick peck on the lips and turned on the tv. He looked down smiled like an idiot and laughed, I laughed with him and we sat there watching tv for a few hours.

We got up and decided to go to the motel complementary breakfast. When we got to the lobby they had pancakes, eggs, bacon coffee and so much more. Danny the manager that checked us in, invited us to sit with him and we did. I sat down and complimented Danny on the decor of the motel, he just laughed and said glad you even saw it with what I heard last night. I choked on my tea and looked at him with a shocked look on my face. Cole sat down and asked if I was okay, I looked embarrassed and Danny just laughed. Seriously what happened Cole said with a confused look on his face.

"Let's just say thin walls." Danny said with a smile.

"Well okay then, glad to know you know that." Cole said with a embarrassing look on his face. The same look he used to get when his brother would say something embarrassing about him in front of me. We sat there eating in silence for the next 10 minutes. I finished my plate after cole finished his so he grabbed my plate and his and threw both plates in the trash can.

"Well it was a lovely stay and its a beautiful motel you have here Danny. I am glad we came across it on our journey." I said with a smile while shaking his hand.

I'm glad you liked it here. He said with a laugh and a wink. "I do hope y'all have a safe journey and come back and stay again." He said with a smile.

I climbed into the passenger seat and put my seatbelt on as we started to pull away from the motel. I looked out the window on Cole's side and admired the small town I see before me. A few miles from the motel and a little old man waved a Cole from in front of a jewelry store.
