Y/n pov

I walked quietly along the shore of my town beach with my partner (Pokemon's name). The dark moonlighted sand slipped through me Sandles. The moon and stars shown beautiful tonight as the light of then bounced onto my (e/c) orbs.
Suddenly a loud crack and quick string of light sent through the clouds, at that moment a down pour came down onto me and my starter
I inhaled surprisingly and frantically searched for a spot to hide. I spotted a poorly placed beach humble abandoned and jammed into the sand. It wasn't very sturdy on account that it was shaking back and forth but it's the best thigh I have to safety right now I guess.
"o-over there (Pokemon name)! Under that umbrella!" they nodded to my command, rushing under the umbrella next to me. I hitched down and tried stuffing the umbrella down, I then flipped down, holding my knees against my chest and (Pokemon's name) by my side.
I started to lightly tremble thinking about what could possibly happen to me and my precious pokemon if we didn't find a protective shelter soon.
I picked up (Pokemon's name), placing her to my chest and giving her securely while I sat.
My hair and eyes being pelted by the once soft sand blowing form the beach floor.
I examined my arrows, while seeing a figure my head bolted towards them. They seemed to have only around one pokemon as my self.
I stood up on my knees, screaming to them, hoping my voice would reach there ears.
Eventually the figure saw me And rushed under the umbrella with me with a dive. They were gasping and blowing out air frantically.
As they calmed down they sat up beside me holding there pokemon.
There head slowly turned towards mine.
"(y.../n?" The male figure spoke with a husky tired breath.
"sun..?" I responded.
His face seemed to turn up into a small smile as I spoke his name.
"wow I'm glad you're here. You practically saved me. Thanks" he said flashing me a closed eye Grin
I blushed, his calm attitude in the chaos sending my heart a flutter.
He looked at my pokemon. A smile spreading across his cheeks.
"your Pokemon's grow a lot! Oh~ and did you hear? I'm champion now! Champion sun." he Proudly breathed, pointing a thumb at his chest.
I huffed. Eyes making a straight line at his cocky ness.
"well..then Mr.champion. Any idea on how to get us inside somewhere? " I said. Motioning a hand to the storm.
He seemed to notice my Attitude towards his victory, he didn't seem to be angry however. He looked around, trying to find a way out of this mess.
He pondered towards the beach Umbrella over us. Then looking at his popplio. He smirked, glancing at me before quickly pulling the coverage from the sand, and flipping it over.
I screamed, wind and rain hitting my face. That's when i heard him throw something, and a smack at my cheek.
I squealed, reaching to grab the fabric of he threw at me. It was a jacket, his to be exact.
"cover yourself with that! Like a roof! " he yelled, still griping the metal of the umbrella.
I nodded, not taking time to scooping up my pokemon and pulling them to my chest, holding them with my forearm.
I put the jacket over us, blocking the sharp water from our touch.
Sun smiled, getting hit with rain as he pushed the fabric side of the umbrella upside down, into the sand.
I gave a confused look, noticing water start to build inside of its bowl shape.
It didn't make sense, until sun motioned his popplio to act on something. His words didn't reach my ears, but I could make out his popplio sucking up the water from the umbrella into its mouth.
Not long after, popplio began blowing out the water, now formed as a bubble. The bubble was huge coming from his tongue. Sun grabbed me, and surprisingly pulled both me, him and my pokemon into the rubbery - air filled water.
"Here now we're safe~" he smiled at me. I gazed back at him quietly. for the first time since I met him, I started feeling butterflies.
