Bridge fight

     Waking up the next morning you stretched and yawned. "Haku!" hoping out of bed you nudged the sleeping boy until he woke up. "C'mon its time to wake up we have a big day ahead of us!" He groaned and got up.

      "Go wake up zabuza I'll meet you two in the main room." You nodded sprinting out the room. You've done this everyday for three years being deemed the official alarm clock. Making sure everyones awake by eight.

      "Zaaaabbbuuuzzaaaaa!!!" You yelled as you ran down the halls before busting through the door. "Its time to wake u-" looking at the bed he was already awake looking at the door with a blank face. "Oh..your already awake." You nervously laughed before backstepping out the room. "Good job!" And ran to the main room where Haku was waiting.

      "Did he give you any trouble?" He asked putting his mask on.

      "Nope" you popped the 'p'. "He was already awake." You said as zabuza walked through the door.

       "Let's go Haku, y/n." He said walking out as you and Haku followed.

        "Now listen y/n" Haku started. "When we get to the bridge I want you to stay in the boat and not get involved." He said calmly.

        "But what if you need help?"

        "Stay in the boat I've trained you well enough to control your chakra and defend yourself but you haven't awakened a kekkei genkai or learned any of the chakra based attacks yet."

        "neither have the other kids!" You pouted.

       "Yes but there are three of them and they're on the same team as the copy cat ninja. I don't want you to get hurt." He pleaded.

       "Alright Haku, but you dont get hurt either." You countered. He nodded pleased with your understanding. The short guy called them on the walkie but zabuza stepped on it before you could actually pay attention.

       "Alright let's go" you three got in the boat and took off.

         Haku and Zabuza had already got out of the boat and confronted bridge builder but you were still in the boat as promised. Boredom over took you as you played with the water. 'They won't mind if I watch right?' Climbing up the ladder you peered over the side to see the fight. You couldn't hear anything but you could see a giant ice dome. 'That ice dome must be Haku's kekkei genkai...' You pouted to yourself. 'everyone has these cool moves and powers except me!' You could practically hear Haku's voice in your head telling you to wait, that with hard work comes good results, and how the patient are rewarded.

         Mist started to shroud the surrounding area and you knew it was Zabuza's doing. 'But...now I can't see anything!' You sighed and decided to just wait till it disapeared. honeing your hearing you could hear weapons clashing and painful grunts. You heard a high pitch feminine scream that almost caused you to fall off the ladder, but you held on. Deeming the ladder unsafe you proceeded to just sit on the edge of the bridge. You could sense a foul chakra in the air. 'What is that?' You could hear the sound of ice breaking. 'did the dome break!?' Standing up you decided to navigate through the mist. The foul chakra disappeared and you could hear Haku speak. He spoke of his past after Naruto dissed him about serving Zabuza. Haku had told you his story once, and it brought tears to your eyes.

         "What did they take from you that was more import than your mother and father!?" Naruto questioned.

          "My purpose, just like that I was unnecessary..... Then zabuza came, he did not show me hate or fear because of my strangeness. My powers were just what he wanted....he made me necessary again." He paused before continuing. "I have failed you zabuza, I am a broken weapon that has no further use, I hope y/n can serve you better." You let out of silent gasp. "Naruto, kill me."  You were about to interfere until you heard barking in the distance.
