As she opened her closet door, without knowing it she went to her memory on hope the first time she was on it. This was the exact thing that happened then. She opened her closet door where she saw a box wrapped like a gift. She started wondering who can ever get her a gift on the ship she was on. Then she saw a little white card posted on the side of the box. She hurried to read it. She turned around the box and she smiled as she read it.

"Dear Kristin, I hope you would accept my little gift for you and I hope you like it."
                             - Paul
She started unwrapping it to see what was inside. It was a dress. A pretty black dress made out of silk for her to wear on dinner. Then she felt embarrassed as she remembered what she was wearing the first time she met him. But she was happy for it was the first time she ever got a gift from somebody. Anybody.

She took the dress out of the box and went to the mirror to see if it would match with her color. She grabbed it tight to her body standing in front of the mirror and she felt like she was a princess before she even actually tried it out. So she run to the bathroom to change into it. Paul was good at guessing her size. It fits her very well. She was about to cry when she saw herself with this kind of dress for the first time. She always used to dream of it and now she got it all thanks to Paul. She jumped on her bed and started talking like a princess and acting like one. But then she realized she had no shoes to wear it with except some old flat black lady shoes she had. But it was okay her dress was very long enough to cover the shoe she was wearing so she didn't worry about it much.
Kristin went to the box to put in the right place. When she picked it up from the floor she saw another card so she went to the bed to sit and she unfolded it to read it.

"Dear Kristin, you are probably wondering why I got you this dress right now, if I'm not wrong. Well I hope you won't turn me down on my question for a dinner tomorrow since I'll be on a break. I want you to wear it if you have a plan on showing up. I really hope you will."
                                   -Paul
"I'm definitely coming Paul!" She whispered as if he was next to her and he could hear her.

She walked out of her room hoping that she wasn't late for the dinner Paul invited her on.
"Kristin!" Said Paul who had been waiting for her just in front of the door.
Kristin jumped to the sound of his voice.
"I've been waiting for you to come out of there for almost 15 minutes. I knew you would come! I knew you would not turn me down on the one thing I've ever asked you !"
"Oh no it's not like that. It's just... I thought ... " she couldn't finish her sentence as she was tongue tied.
"You just thought what?" He replied with a little confused face.
"Nothing!" She said since she had no idea what she was talking about in the first place.
"Owe, okay then, shall we?" He said with his hands stretched out waiting for her hands to lie on it. Kristin didn't say anything except putting her hands on his and giving him a smile that said it all.
