"You look beautiful darling!" Said a voice behind her.
She turned around slowly to see who it was. It was Paul.
"I missed you so much!" Kate screamed. "what took you so long, Daddy?"
Kristin didn't say a word. She just turned around and started walking to the door.
"Kristin! Where are you going? Come back here!" Paul yelled.
She didn't stop. Her gown was brushing upon the blue carpet as she kept on walking.
...Ding Dong....
The bell rang again.
Kristin opened the door. It was Mr.Anderson.
"Kristin what are you doing?!" Paul spoke in a hushed voice.
Mr.Anderson walked in the house. His black boots was stamping on the wooden floor that was wearing the blue carpet as he moved towards Paul and Kate.
"Hold on Paul Ernest! Today might just be your end!" Said Mr.Anderson.
Without Kristin even getting the chance to say anything, within a blink of an eye, within a fraction of a second, there was a gunshot! It might have been after a year or two or even a century, Paul hit the ground covering the blue carpet with his red blood. She was frozen that she saw everything, his face as he was looking at the bullet coming towards him, how he closed his eyes with pain as the bullet hit him on the heart, his knees giving in, the way they bent..., in slow motion.
"And you little girl no HOPE for you now, you're coming with me."
"Mom! Mom!" Kate started crying as Mr.Anderson picked her up.
Kristin started running towards him. But within a blink he disappeared. She was standing alone with the corp of her husband and his fresh blood that looks like it is going to clot anytime soon. She wanted to cry for her husband and sit next to him for the last time, at least before he gets buried, but her daughter just got kidnapped and she had to run. She had to start searching as soon as possible. She then left the house walking on Paul's blood to the outside darkness. It was windy, there was storm. She tried to look from the the deck to the ocean. There was a little boat. She tried to see as much as she can, it did not take her long to realize it was her daughter, Kate, on it. She was crying loud. She was alone on the boat. The storm was very heavy. NO HOPE was written on the tiny boat with a red paint that looked like a spilled blood messed up with somebody's hand. Kristin jumped in to the storm of ocean without even hesitating or doubting even for a fraction of second to save her daughter whom she was only left with.------
"Mom, mom are you okay?" Kate said to Kristin.
"I'm fine honey don't worry!" She replied....Ding Dong...
The bell rang. Kate run to the door and opened the door wide.
"Welcome home!!" Everyone cried as Kate was already in her fathers arm.
"Kristin! Oh Darling! How much I had missed you!" Cried Paul as he hugged her warmly and kissed her on the lips.
They loved each other like they were fresh lovers on their twenties.
"Thank God your home safe, Honey! Oh! How I had missed you very much!" Words finally left her lips.
They talked for hours, with Kate, Kristin and also almost everyone who was in the house. It was finally time to go to bed. Everyone had left the house one by one as it was already 00:00.
Paul kissed Kate goodnight and hugged Kristin and together they walked out of her bedroom and started walking up the stairs to theirs. The house was pretty big. It had 3 floors. The first floor, or what is so called the ground floor, has five rooms. The biggest room of the entire house was in here and it was the living room. This room is as big as a ballroom hole and can take up to forty people. It was well decorated with famous paints on the wall, very graceful and big sofa, beautifully hand carved white clay works with flowers on each corner of the house, big bright chandelier hanging from the high raised work of art ceiling towards the shining wooden floor that was wearing classical carpets, big black piano on the other corner in front of the sofa and a lot more which can not be told all in one. Then there is the magnificent kitchen which is the second biggest room in this floor and it was well equipped. It also had a long dining table that can dine twenty people decently. The third room was the guests bedroom. It could have been the master bed room if they didn't call it that. Then the forth room is the guests bathroom and the last one was the small private tv room for Kate.
In the second floor there are four rooms. The first and the biggest one was the big library that was filled with books of centuries and of different languages. As Paul travels to different places he speaks and reads different languages. The second room was another guests bedroom as they were very welcoming people and had guests almost all the time. The third room is the bathroom of Kate which was connected to the fourth room privately which was Kate's bedroom where Paul and Kate just left from.
They're walking on the corridors to go to their room when Paul suddenly said,
"Kristin, we need to talk. I have a very important thing to tell you. But not today, I'm very tired now. We will talk about it tomorrow".
