**Anabel's POV
The place was empty. A shade of orange light from the sunset gleamed down the grey walls, as I sat quietly on the benches watching the darkness swoop in. My fingers brushing against the mark that I assume had formed around my neck. I let out a sigh before picking up my bag, slinging it on one shoulder, exiting the building.
I knew I should have left earlier, it was impossible to get a cab at this time. I found myself walking along the sidewalk, properly this time. I was so used to the pain, that it made it easier to ignore it. My knuckles had turned to a shade of purple and red, instantly regretting not wearing gloves earlier, but what's done is done.
I hear a whistle from behind me, followed by bickering as I walk pass a dark neighborhood, which I hear was not safe to pass by at night. I mentally slap myself out of stupidity. I hear another catcall, as I walk faster.
"Don't ignore me, pretty girl." I hear a man say as he jogs his way towards me, walking by my side at the same pace. I avoid his gaze, ignoring his presence.
Before I knew it, he had slammed me against a wall, taking me by surprise. I bit my lip as he smirks, his face inching closer.
Okay, here goes nothing.
My knee meets his crotch and for a moment, in slow motion, I watch his face scrunch up into a painful look. I take the chance, running with all my might, ignoring the pain from my ankle, a smile had crept its way across my face, proudly.
I hear distant talking, afterwards followed by running footsteps behind me. They were too fast. I bit my lip, picking up speed but my ankle fails me, causing me to fall to the ground. I flinch slightly, till 2 laughing faces emerge from the dark. The flickering streetlights had made it impossible to see them clearly, wondering what i'd tell the cops if they ask me to describe them.
"Stay back." I bit, crawling backwards.
I try to stand back up, but I couldn't. It hurts more than it did and I regret running too fast.
"You look hurt sweetheart. Why don't you let us help you?" The other man smirks, stepping towards me.
"Stay the fuck away from me!" I yell this time and both of them laughs.
"Karma is real fast, ain't it, pretty girl?" The man I had kneed earlier had caught up. He stood in front of the other two men.
"Please." I beg this time, attempting to stand up again.
The familiar man had grabbed my arm, but before the two could take another step forward and do anything more, a voice behind me had caused them to stop.
"Turn around and let her go."
Harry.
"Take care of him for me lad, will ya?" The guy that had grabbed my arm says, nodding to one of the men. A smirk plastered across his face, as he looks down at me and winks.
He pulls me up, as I try to push him away. I could hear grunting from behind me. I look to see Harry, ducking punches. His eyes met mine and it made him snap, his fist collides with the mans face sending him to the ground. He sends a kick to the other mans leg causing him to fall. Harry pushes his knee hard against the mans face as he groans. I was on my feet now, the mans hand held the back of my neck, while his other hand held both my wrists in his. My back turned against Harry as the man pulls me with him.
"Let her go." Harry bits.
The man turns around with me in his grasp. He laughs before pushing me to the ground, causing me to fall back down, I bite my lip in pain. I meet Harry's soft gaze that instantly disappears as he glares at the man in front of him. The man pulls out a knife, smirking.
