(1 month later) as we were heading into the doctors office for my brothers appointment, I was on my phone. After thirty minutes of waiting, James had texted me and sent me a funny video clip and I started laughing. As soon as my brother got called my mom and I accompanied him to the doctor. After some tests (which they do these exams to all their kid patients to make sure they don't have a virus in them or anything lethal) the doctor came in and said my brother had Cancer. Before they told my brother, me and my mom were the only ones who knew. The doctor said he didn't't want to say it in front of my brother. So, my mom had the hardest job ever.
My mom was frantically sobbing quietly in her room, then she told the news to my dad when he came from work. My dad had one hand on his head, as if in despair, and the other on the wall, making it seem like he could not hold himself upright. My mother seemed to not care about me that day. But, I was shook, I didn't know what to do or say. I had abandoned James from our text. But, then I reacted and I went to search google what Cancer really was and how long my brother had before his cancer cells would eat everything.
After I searched Cancer I saw horrible things that had happened to other people on the internet when they had cancer. What if my brother didn't make it, I'd be all alone except for my grandmother and parents. I wouldn't have anybody to hug with in the morning, a person who always gave me my first birthday presents in the morning and every year attempts to make me a cake. I need to help my brother, I need to get a job.
