Chapter 8

Sans

"So, we're here!" Sans said. "Well duh!" Red replied, rolling his eyes. "I do hope Ink and Ashia are okay.." Geno said, worried. Sans opened the door to a secret lab that every Sans should have. "Huh.. this is bigger than normal.." Sans said. Then Red stepped on something he should've never stepped on. The three of them fell into a black pit and landed in a new place. "Way to go Red..." Geno said weakly. "Oops..?" Red said. "Erm...hehe... sorry...." Red continued, scratching his head, giving him and Geno a guilty smile. Sans got up. "It's okay. Besides, we're probably closer than we thought!" Sans said, smiling. He always thought on the positive side. He hated himself for that. He needs to accept some negativity. "Whatever. Anyways, where are we?" Geno said, scratching his head in confusion. Sans looked at his surroundings. He honestly thought what the heck this place was supposed to be. "Looks like a Labyrinth or something..." Red said, peeking over the top of the wall. "Huh, well then. I guess we know now." Geno said, tapping his chin. "Yeah, but just one itsy-bitsy problem..." Red said, climbing down. "What is it?" Geno replied. "Erm... how are we going to get over the wall?" he said, pointing back to the wall. Shoot. Sans hadn't thought of that. How are they going to get over the wall? It would probably take them about an hour to get one of them up over the wall. Then they saw a figure rise. The figure looked at them. It came into the light. It was Ink! "HEY GUYS- whoa!" He shouted, trying to steady himself on the wall. "Ink! You're okay!!!" Sans said, relieved. "Yeah, thank goodness." he said, scratching his head. Geno looked very relieved. "Wait... Ashia was with you. Where.. is she?!" Red said, worried. A shadow passed over Ink's face. He took out something. Sans quietly gasped in shock. "That's..." he mumbled quietly. Ink was holding a piece of Ashia's crystal necklace. It glowed white, a bit bright. Sans was speechless. He looked at the others. Red looked very shaken up. Sans could tell because his hoodie was up, hiding his face. Red did that whenever he knew he was going to cry or something. He's an introvert, in a way. Red was probably shaken up because Ashia was his best friend since CHILDHOOD. No wonder he was shook. Sans felt sorry for Red, losing his closest friend. Sans had lost Papyrus in the Genocide run, but that was oh so long ago. He had forgotten how it felt to lose someone. Geno looked calm, but he knew he was shaken up too. Ashia was also Geno's best friend since childhood. Ink put away the crystal. "But...don't worry. She's still alive.....I think.." he trailed off. "What do you mean, 'I think'?" Red asked. "Well...." Ink started. "Yeah. Do you think she's half alive or something!?"Geno exclaimed. "Actually...-" "OR HALF DEAD?!" Red shouted. As Sans expected, Red had tears on his face. "Um-" "HOW DID YOU EVEN GET OUT OF ERROR'S PLACE!?!" Geno screamed. "SHE HELPED AND LET ME ESCAPE OKAY!?!!? She's still back there...." Ink shouted, then goes back to normal voice. There was an awkward silence. "Why are we just standing here LET'S GO!" Red said, frantically trying to climb the wall, but he fails every time. "Well... Ok this is gonna hurt for me, but you guys can climb using my scarf?" Ink suggested. Sans pondered on the idea. He thought it wasn't a good idea because Ink could choke to death, and that is NOT good. Sans had an idea. "Hey Ink, why not just take off your scarf so you don't choke or something?" "Hm....I guess so.." Ink replied. Sans could tell Ink didn't really seem open to the idea. Ink took off his scarf. "Don't pull on it please......" he said in a squeaky voice. "Meh." Red said, shrugging it off and starting to climb. Geno followed after, then Sans went last. Ink put back on his scarf and took out the crystal. "The crystal acts like a magnet. We were lucky the end of the crystal is pointed to it'll point to where the necklace is." Ink explained. "Wow, Ink. Where did you learn all that?" Geno asked him, amazed. "I know stuff." He then replied, winking and giving a childish smile. "Whatever... let's just go already.." Red said, shoving his hands into his jacket pockets. "Okay..?" Ink said, holding out his hand. Geno shifted uneasily. "I hope we don't have to go THERE..." he said, pointing to a crossway. The left side seemed a bit pleasant, and has a soft glow, mixed of the galaxy colors. The right, however... looked like a cavern. Spikes of rock and pebbles littered the place. It was pitch black. Geno was pointing to the right side. "Let's hope not. That place is givin' me the chills." Sans replied, also shifting uneasily himself. "Let's see." Ink said. The crystal wavered from left to right. It stopped, pointing...
