We finally pulled up to the school in Ryder's black Range Rover. Did I mention Ryder's family is rich as hell?
Instantly people started crowding around Ryder and I as soon as we got out of the car. People were crying and asking if it was true. I nodded and they walked away.
Ryder guided me to the entrance of school with his hand on my lower back. Since him and his friends were worshiped by basically the entire female species I was bound to get thrown some dirty looks. We walked into the school and up to my locker. He stood next to me while I opened it.
Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked over to see Jessica. She was Ryder's annoying Barbie-like ex girlfriend. I hated her with a passion. How could one person be so annoying that they make you want to gauge your own eyes out and drown yourself in your own vomit. God I hated her.
She walked closer to Ryder basically rubbing her breasts against his arm until she finally turned her attention to me.
"Oh my god! How's Luke is he okay?"
"No. He died. Not like you care anyways." I snapped back at her. It was true she only showed an interest in my brother when she was trying to get something from him. Sexual things. She was instantly taken aback by my reaction and started 'crying.'
"How could you say that? Of course I care he was my boyfriends bestfriend. She turned and looked at Ryder. She pulled him into a hug as his eyes shot into mine with anger. I couldn't believe what what happening. Ryder was seriously taking HER side. I slammed my locker and walked away startling myself at just how loud I slammed it.
I stormed off in rage until I ran into an oddly placed brick wall that was in the middle of the hallway. I looked up to see none other than one of my best friends Jessie.
"Jessie!" I yelled as I got up and gave her a big hug. She too looked like she had been crying.
"Hey Emma! How are you doing, with everything." She said as she pulled away and looked me in the eyes.
"I'm doing better now that I'm with my bestfriend!" I said as I grabbed her hand. "Come on let's go." I said while dragging her to first period as the bell rang notifying us to go to class.
Her long red curly hair was bouncing as she walked her dark blue eyes seemed to glow everywhere she looked. Her freckles were perfectly placed on her cheeks and nose. She was wearing a short hot pink skater dress with black leggings and white converse.

We reached the classroom after catching up on a few things and then went to our seats. I sat in the center of the classroom and Jessie sat in the back.
Matt one of the famous party-throwers walked up to me and put his hands on my desk.
"Hey Emma we're having a goodbye party for Luke tonight at 10 at my place you should come it'll be fun." I noticed a redness on his cheeks as he asked, but I figured it was just because it was cold outside.
"Okay maybe." I said not wanting to commit to anything.
"Oh come on, you've gotta come he'd love it. He was always so lit at parties." He said while grabbing my shoulder and shaking me.
"Okay okay okay I'll come as long as you stop shaking me!" I said through giggles.
"Cool." He started to walk away when he turned back to me and said, "Bring your girls."
He winked and walked back over to his friend group and smacked one of them on the back.
{Flashback}
"Luke! Emma! Come on you're going to be late for your first day of school!"
"We're coming mom!" Luke hollered back at my mom while grabbing his shoes and putting them on.
"Hurry up Emma come on!" My brother said to me while waiting by the door of our bedroom.
"I can't do it!" I said while getting angry at tying my brand new shoes. I was never good at it.
"Oh it's okay I'll do it for you!" He ran over to me and tied my shoes. He was always so caring.
He grabbed my hand and helped me up from the bottom bunk of our bunk bed and we walked out of the room together and went to school.

During recess Tiffany one of my 2nd grade enemies was picking on me with a few of her friends. Since the 2nd and 3rd graders had the same recess my brother was around. Tiffany suddenly pushed me down and I fell to the ground scraping my hand in the process. I started crying for someone when Luke ran over.
"Leave her alone! Go away!" He yelled while holding me in his arms. Tiffany and her friends ran away scared they were going to get in trouble.
"Are you okay?" He asked as my crying slowed down.
"Yes." I said while jumping up and running away he chased after me until we fell down in the fields on our backs and looked up at the sky.

The teacher walking in and clapping his hands interrupted my thoughts. He went on and on about the history of the Holocaust. I spent most of the period on my phone texting Jessie and my other friend Connie in our group chat.
(E=Emma C=Connie J=Jessie)
E- Hey guys! Matt invited me to a party tonight wanna go with me?
C- Of course you always know I'm up for a party lmk what time you want me to pick you up to come get ready!
I figured 8:00 would be a good time for us to start getting ready.
E- How about 8:00. Hey Jessie you coming?
J- Sure whatever. See you guys at 8:00.
I was excited to get away from Ryder for a while especially after this morning. I knew they were back together. I know what you're thinking but no I'm not jealous I'd never get jealous of Jessica.
