"Welcome to Ohana Watersports how may I help you" A petite dark haired girl greets me as I reluctantly approach the tiki hut. The same boys from earlier were out on the ocean but this time they were bouncing on a water trampoline that was stationed deeper in the ocean clearly showing off for a group of girls in low cut bikini's.
"Oh just looking..." I mumble clearly forgetting any and all grammar skills I had in an instant. "Let me know if you need anything." The girl smooths her dark hair revealing a trail of piercings going up and down her abnormally large ears.
I turn my head to watch the boys bob over the huge waves slowly approaching the sandy shores my heart skips a beat as I catch a glimpse of their faces, they were actually beautiful. "Ah so you like the Ohana boys, I see you." The girl says almost sarcastically like she thinks I don't have game, I mean she's not wrong but I didn't give that away by just one conversation we'd had.
"No what?" My face heats up as the boys come closer. I start to make a beeline towards my grandparents but elephant ears stops me in the most embarrassing way possible, "Hey Collin, Shepp do you want a hot date tonight?" I feel like I'm going to throw up this girl I hardly even know just exposed me and why didn't she mention the other guy?
The two boys who she'd called out stop to look at my now flaming red face. "She doesn't look like she really wants company." The taller and more lean boy who was extremely tan jokingly picks on my nervous stature.
"I'm sure I could change her mind." The other boy who was Japanese? Or Korean? Nonetheless he was incredibly muscular. As I return from my dreamy thoughts he scoots closer to me, quickly I move further away.
Elephant ears waves her hands around in a motion that made her look as if she was trying to swat away a swarm of flies obviously trying to make me talk. I notice the third boy had disappeared into the hut not even saying a word, honestly can I hide too? "No thanks, neither of you guys are my type to be honest."
The boys both scream out of embarrassment laughing out loud the more muscular boy who was definitely more attractive in my opinion falls onto the ground acting like he'd been stabbed in the chest.
"What's your name Ms. hard to get." The taller guy asks.
"Reid and yours, Mr. can't keep my dick in my pants?" The Asian boy's mouth is now wide open as he gets back to his feet he looks astounded that I actually just dissed his friend.
"My name is Collin and the weirdo over there is Shepp I don't know where Kota went but he's shy so."
"I'm Eberly if you were wondering. And these boys aren't on shift everyday not everyone here is an asshole." The girl behind the tiki hut finally broke her silence probably feeling like she'd lost all the attention that was previously on her.
"Aren't we hiring?" Shepp asks finally breaking from his laughing spell.
"Actually yeah, we're looking for someone who's good in the water." Eberly sounds slightly annoyed obviously knowing where this was headed. "I can't sorry." I reply quickly.
"No please please," Shepp widens his eyes and pouts his lower lip which was actually really adorable because his cheeks were super chubby and all... but I wasn't going to admit that out loud.
A door creaks open from behind the hut and enters Kota, holy shit... Kota. Kota looked a little like Shepp just with a darker tan and brighter eyes. He'd dyed his hair a pastel purple but was in slight need of a re-dye because there were blonde roots coming from the top. But the most attractive thing about Kota was...
"Reid! We're leaving honey!" My grandma's voice echoes in my ear making my heart plummet. I really wanted to stay and talk with the 'Ohana' boys as Eberly called them. "Just two minutes!" I call back and she stops yelling noticing that these were the first friends I'd made in a really long time.
"So are you taking the job or not?" Eberly asks. Kota looks throughly confused he just shrugs, grabbing a bottle of water then heading back into the hut.
My heart thumps I wanted more time, "Can I have a job that doesn't require me to swim?"
Eberly raises an eyebrow, "I mean yeah, but that's kinda weird." Shepp playfully smacks her arm his biceps protruding. "You should swing by tomorrow to get some training then you can start as soon as that's done." Eberly continues, I can see the slight of Koda's figure through a window he appears to be crying, his shoulders shaking and his head moving slowly from side to side.
"Is he okay?" I ask with genuine concern, Eberly shakes her head looking down. Both Shepp and Collin look at each other solemnly, "No he's not." Collin replies as the sound of glass shattering echoes from inside the hut.
