Of Sorrow and Pain

Will the wind blow

Or will the sun grow cold

Days of joy away they flew

So many years now lay slain

I stand alone in a cold dark rain

Of sorrow and pain

Open now are these eyes

As I begin to realize

I lost it all to the dark

For all the failures

A festering wound that cures

Now I see the sunset's majesty

I wash it away

And forget to pray

I bathe in darkness

Dreaming of an Angel's caress

Fallen now are these broken wings

In a world comprised of material things

A child's eyes that once saw joy

View a world of sorrow and pain
