"Alex! Brian! I'm going for a run I'm leaving you in charge til' I get back." I say heading out the door. I need a break so I go for a run. I shift and head straight to the forest. I don't go to far off my territory but I go far enough to clear my head. I need my mate, but where is she? I have visited neighbouring packs and stupid social events and nothing, I'm starting to lose hope.. My pack need their Luna and I need my mate. I continue running on the borders of my territory when I got a whiff of something so sweet!
"Mate! Mate! Mate! We found our mate!" My wolf Haze howled within me,
I push myself to run faster. I can't believe it! I've found my mate and my Lu- "our mate" Haze corrected, "yeah yeah" I continue to run until I smell blood, her blood, it trailed down a steep hill. No. No no please. "I'm coming mate!" I yell running down the hill dodging trees and all. I mind link my beta and some pack guards. "Blake! Order some warriors to come to my current location! I'm on the western side of the borders! I found my mate but she's not in a good way!" I ordered, " congratulations alpha! And yes I have sent them, they're on their way now." He said. I cut him off and continue to run. I was greeted by more blood. I whimper at the sight, what happened? Did she fall? Did someone attack her? Argh if I found out someone hurt my mate I wi- " we" my wolf interrupted me in my trance of thought. I follow the pool of blood to find her, she has a large lash on her back and head, no.. "hang in there mate! Help is on the way.
Scarlottes p.o.v
I feel my legs giving in so I decide to take a break. I think I ran nearly 1 mile! I keep surprising myself. I settle myself on a fallen tree and catch my breath. After I have a break I carry on running.
I was running on a steep track and I started to get tired again, so I stop to take a breather. I take a minute to admire the view and I take a couple steps forward. " arrrgghhh!" I screech, I lost my balance and was tumbling down a steep hill. This won't end well... I tumble down hitting trees, rocks and branches on the way down and was greeted by a huge rock, FUCK.. I hit my head so hard on the rock I fell into the pitch black of nothingness.
I wake up to a bright light. "Wh-where a-am I-i?" I struggle to say, " Hey baby! You're awake! That's good what's you're name?" A unfamiliar figure appeared over the bright light and I start to panic. "Calm down you're okay" he said calmly, I automatically calmed to his voice. " w-who are y-ou?" I said confused af, " I'm Kalvin, it's nice to meet you!" He looked at me with so much adoration, "what's your name?" He said, "Scarlotte" I say. He looks at me and smiles, why is he so happy? " you're so beautiful, Scarlotte." He said. He touches my arm and sparks erupt through my arm all over my body causing a shiver to go down my spine. I got a fright at the feeling. "Do you feel that?" I say confused, " yes I do, you're my mate and I know you don't know what that means but you will eventually." He says caressing my cheek. I quickly move away from his hand "I'm your wh-what?"
