Disclaimer: I do not own the Sins. (That actually sounds somewhat weird when I say it.....) (Also, later on, I'll be adding a picture to this. I'm drawing it and it's just taking me so long I've decided to just post this chapter now than add the photo later.) (Finally finished it! This thing took me forever!)

"Catch me if you can!" I laughed, soaring through the sky. "Ah, come on, Rivyn!" A boy's voice wheedled. "Slow down! You know we're not as fast as you!" I laughed again, filled with joy and contentment. "Rivyn!" Another voice, another boy. This one more serious than the first, but with an underlying sense of caring. "Be careful! He'll be mad if you get hurt!"

I rolled until I was flying on my back, still going incredibly fast. My eyes were closed as I stuck my tongue out at them. "Ahhhh, scaredy cat!" I rolled back over. "Sc-Scaredy cat!" He sputtered, while the first boy laughed. "Scaredy cat?! I'm going to get you for that!" I laughed along with the first boy, so lighthearted I felt like I could do anything. "Then come get me!" I wouldn't get hurt, cause they were here. They wouldn't let anything happen to me.

Then, all of a sudden, my lightheartedness disappeared as they did. Suddenly, I was no longer flying through the sky, carefree as a bird. Instead, I was in so much pain I didn't know how I was alive. My body was so badly burned that I knew I couldn't be recognizable to anyone. There were also slashes and stabs and broken bones. But worst of all was the feeling in my heart. Tears ran down my face, pink from mixing with the blood that covered me.

I'm sorry, I thought, my heart breaking into a million pieces. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I...I broke my promise. Please....please....PLEASE! I flinched as the sound of wings and laughter filled my ears. Mixed in with my terror however, was determination and rage. Damn them. Damn them. Damn them! Why.....why.....Please, tell me why.... "Come on, Rivyn!" Mischievous, reckless laughter, so different than the cruel, heartless sound that filled my ears currently. Why... "Rivyn!" This one was more exasperated, but still loving. Am I going to... "You'll be the death of me yet, Rivyn." This one was new, a cooler tone than the others, yet it made me feel so safe. Leave them... "Rivyn, you're amazing." This voice loved me, just as much as the other voices. And I loved him. To face this alone?!

My tears ran thicker, as did the cruel laughter. They took enjoyment from my pain. And I wept not from the pain of my body, but my heart. Because I knew...I knew that no matter how much I hurt, my death would hurt the ones I loved so much more!! "Should we put it out of our misery?" One of the voices asked. Then, to my utter horror, the cruelest voice of all spoke. "Kill it."

I woke up screaming. "Rivyn!!" Arthur exclaimed, charging into my tent, Hendy following closely behind him. "Rivyn, sweetheart, calm down," Titania said worriedly, as I gasped for breath. "It was just a dream." "Rivyn, what is it?" Arthur asked, kneeling beside me. I looked up at his concerned face and burst into tears, flinging my arms around his neck. He started, but slowly wrapped his arms around me, holding me as I cried.

We stayed there for a few minutes, until my tears ran dry and my breathing calmed. I pulled away from him, and rubbed my eyes. "Lady Rivyn," Hendy said. "What was that?" I shook my head, not wanting to speak about it. "A nightmare. A horrible, horrible nightmare." Hendy looked at me steadily, then shook his head, thankfully deciding not to push me. "Okay, Lady Rivyn."

I looked around and saw that the light of day was beginning to shine through the heavy fabric of my tent. "What time is it?" Arthur smiled hesitantly. "Ten o'clock. We were just about to wake you when you started screaming." I breathed deeply and nodded. "Okay." Arthur stood, as Hendy moved away the tent's opening. "We'll be waiting outside for you, Lady Rivyn," he said, walking out. Arthur took a step, then looked back down at me. "Are you sure you're okay?" I nodded, smiling faintly and lying through my teeth. "I'm fine."
