RODA by Gilberto Gil and João Augusto, new words by Joel Sattler
New title: "Wheel 101"
Okay class, attention please
Here is a wheel that I made
I want to show those who've come
I want to see what you say
Of what I speak's what I know
I'd take the shot if I could
No need to go out for lunch
The corner stand's just as good
Now I will have a little fun
Now that the class has begun
I want to see who will leave
I want to see who will run
No one is obliged to now here be
If you won't listen to me
If you have got lots of dough
The rich get richer you know
But those of us who have not
get by with what we have got
The parasites have no shame
Don't even to try to explain
Whatever's left for the poor
They try to steal even more
Now I will have a little fun
Now we'll just move along
I want to see who is bored
And who will run out the door
No one is obliged to now here be
If you won't listen to me
But rich or poor, all must die
If Black or white, young or old
I want to see who pans out
The dust of death for the gold
We're equal now in our eyes
We're equal then in our strife
It takes us years to be wise
Or just a day in the life
Now I will have a little fun
Because the show must go on
I want to see who will stay
I want to see who will run
No one is obliged to now here be
If you won't listen to me
So now your boy must take care
When he does do what he dares
If you can't give what you gave
He may end up in the grave
I want to see what you try
I want to see who will die
I want to see who denies
Or are my words a surprise?
Now that I've had a little fun
Now that at last I am done
Who's still in Wheel 101
And who away now has run
No one is obliged to now here be
