The New Avengers

Chapter 1

I first started noticing changes when I went to bed the first night. First it was hives, then cold chills, then fading in and out of consciousness. I tried to tell my mom, but she told me to go back to bed and that she would call the doctor in the morning. Ugh, I hate that place.

I woke up the next morning to find that I was completely fine. I told my mother that, but she still called the doctor (dang it).

The doctor said I was completely fine! I was so mad at my mom. I didn't talk to her for the rest of the day.

I was experiencing the same symptoms that night before bed too. I didn't tell my mom because I didn't want to go back to the doctor. She'd probably think I was crazy too.

I woke up the next morning to find myself a lot thicker in the arms and chest area and they looked like I had muscles which is strange because I've never seen a gym in my life. I live in New York City by the way, you can see The Avengers Tower from my apartment building.

Back to the "muscles" thing. I didn't know what to do or say or anything. I just looked at myself in the mirror thinking, "How am I gonna hide these?"

Oh no, I forgot I had school today. I told my mom I was sick but she didn't listen to me. So I did the natural thing. I wore baggy clothes to hide my new body.

The shirt just keeps getting in the way. It dipped into my cereal before school, so that made a mess. Then I shut the sleeve in my locker door and I had to have someone help me to get it out. Then to make my day so much worse, my crush tripped and fell because of me. So now she hates me. Just a day in the life of Charles.

After school I met up with my friends and I told them about what was happening. Then to make it even weirder, they tell me the same things are happening to them.
