The merging worlds

We finally made it to our destination. We were at the bands joint house in Brendwood west California. The neighborhood was for the elites, socialites, and stars. Their house was the kind you saw in movies, the kind of world everyone wished to be apart of.

I sat on the couch bubbling with envy and marinating in my thoughts. Ronnie hadn't talked to me since I told him about the gang coming up here to pick me up.

I sighed and started flipping through the channels on the bands big flat screen TV, there was nothing on so I turned it off and decided to wonder around the house. The boys scattered to their room to do god knows what while they left me in the living room.

I walked into a large hallway with tons of entrances, the house was a elaborate maze stuffed with pop culture references. The walls were hung with tons of rock albums signed with the legends themselves. of course there were several falling in reverse merch on the wall ;even those seemed like they belonged in some museum. I took a left at a large arch way that led me to the kitchen!

I walked in half expecting to find beers and oven pizzas in the fridge but when I opened it...it was stocked with all types of healthy foods. But it doesn't end there. There were drinks and snacks I had never seen in my life, when I looked in the pantry it was full of munchies head to toe. Their kitchen had it all! I'm sure if I look in the freezer there would be prime steaks in their. In that moment all I could think was 'I hope my eyes are as big as my stomach!'

I got busy cooking. I decided to make some Spanish rice and enchiladas considering that it was very easy to make. The scent of the food simmering made me think of home, even my mom. As bad of a mother she was, she was still MY mother. I hated myself for missing a women that would leave me stranded. As the food got closer to finishing thoughts of home began to evaporate.

The first one to come floating in was Derek. He came in and sat on the marble island in the kitchen.

"What are you making?"

"Just a little something from Lubbock Texas...no I lie its a family recipe. Spanish rice and chicken enchiladas."

"Mexican food doesn't sit right with me. This one time I went to mexico and had the shits for a week. Do you have anything else?"

I gaped at him. That was nasty even for him. I broke out in laughter and slapped him on the back and said "too bad hun this is all I got"

I knew he was kidding and I didn't take him seriously. I knew he would eat it anyways. The kitchen was quit except for the sound of boiling food waiting to be served. The rest of the boys came marching in following the scent. I had Derek usher them to the dinning room (where i don't know the location of); I told them I would he there in a bit to serve them. The meal itself was simplistic but I was proud.

I placed the food on the table and saw the boys mouths water. In the bus all I could make them was small foods like hamburger helper but this was the first meal I mad from scratch for them. I noticed Ronnie wasn't with the guys and I had a thought it was about me leaving. I would feel as if I was opposing his personal space if I were to go call him for dinner, so left him.

"man Leona this is good"Ryan said as he chewed on enchilada

"Thank you" I said giggling

It was silent for a bit while we ate but finally Ron broke the silence. He coughed out his sentence and it sat in the air for a little while.

"So I heard you talking to Ronnie. Are you really leaving?"

I was shocked but I guess I had to tell the guys eventually. Its just, I didn't know what I wanted yet, so i didn't want to make things final. His question snapped me back to reality though. I know Derick and Vivi are coming for me already so I cant just let them come here for nothing.

"Yeah I am. I know its sudden but my friends are already on their way"

"but that violates clause 8 of our contract!" Derek hollers

I give him a small laugh "what clause? I didn't sign any contract this was a formal agreement. Plus Ronnie said it was ok." The guys laughed but got serious once more. They all look disappointed except Jacky who is stoic. I bet he was glad but I couldn't be sure.

"So when are you leaving?"Derek asks. I shrug and say I don't know. We finish our meal in artificial lightheartedness. The boys scatter once again and I am left alone in the dinning room cleaning up. I made sure though to leave a plate on the table for Ronnie in case he got hungry.

As I was in the kitchen washing dishes I heard scuffing against the floor so I turned around. There stood Jacky the last person I expected paying me a visit. His eyes bore into mine and they told me he was going to get straight to the point.

"You cant leave" was what he said. It flustered me, I had never had someone say that to me in that tone. It was neither romantic nor possessive, but it had a tone of worry and genuine feelings. I automatically knew the worry wasn't for me but for Ronnie.

"Why?"

"Because it will hurt him"

"but he lives in a world where many people come in and out of his life. What makes me different?"

"because he never trusted those people but he trusts you. Also the guys have grown attached to you."

"what about you, I thought you wanted me out of y'all s life"

"Gosh your stupid... I tried apologizing awhile back but then you went all bitchy on me."

I scratched the back of my neck on that one. I know I was in the wrong but i'm prideful by heart and Jacky had hurt my pride. We stood swaying back and forth for a little while in silence before I finally knew what I had to say. I was opening my mouth to say it before a loud *DIngggggg* filled the silence. That sound came from the door and I know who it was.

Sorry guys for the two year update!!! I didn't keep track of time and it literally slipped by me. But for those few of y'all that added my story to y'alls library I will finish the book PINKY PROMISE! I'll try to update often.
