5. Hospital Failure and New Vampires

Once at the hospital ten minutes later, Selene parked and hurriedly carried the unconscious Beca in the door. The Bellas followed as Selene started talking to the nurse at the reception desk. "We need a doctor right away. There's been a shootout and this young woman got knocked out. She's barely got a pulse."

The nurse looked up available doctors and paged one. "Doctor Corvin to the reception desk immediately please. Doctor Corvin to the reception desk."

A minute later a familiar blonde man came running out. "What can I do?" He asked looking at the group.

Selene looked at him. "The subway shootout. This girl got caught in the crossfire and was knocked unconscious. She barely has a pulse and needs immediate care."

The blonde man looked at her as he took Beca from her. "What's her name? And I know you. You were the woman I saw in the station before the shootout started."

"I'm Selene."

"Michael Corvin. And the girl's name?"

Chloe stepped up. "I'm Chloe Beale. The unconscious woman in your arms is my girlfriend Beca Mitchell. Her birth name is Rebeca Arabella Mitchell."

"And who are the rest?" Michael asked.

"Our sisters. Don't ask."

"Of course. Just wait out here. I need to run some tests." He replied and left.

The Bellas all sat down and Chloe looked worried. Aubrey put a hand on her shoulder. "She'll be ok, Chlo. She's strong."

Chloe smiled sadly and nodded.

Two hours later, Michael comes out. "Rebeca Mitchell?"

The Bellas and Selene stand up. "Is she ok?" Chloe asked worriedly.

"I'm afraid her breathing has stopped. We did all we could. You should come say goodbye. I'm really sorry."

Chloe broke down and Aubrey held her as Selene followed Michael to retrieve Beca.

Two minutes later, Selene carried Beca out and quickly told the girls to follow her to the car. Everyone got in the car and Chloe asked what was going on. "She's still alive. I can save her, but there'll be consequences."

Selene pulled up just outside of Ordoghaz and quickly got out. The Bellas followed suit and looked confused as Selene took Beca out of the back seat and quickly layed her on the ground. She sat on her knees and moved Beca's hair aside. She bent down and bit her neck. She sucked for thirty seconds and sat up wiping the blood from her lips. The Bellas gasped in shock. "Y...y...you're a v...v...vam...vampire." Chloe stuttered.

"It's ok. I didn't drain her. We don't do that. I'm  turning her. It's the only way she'll survive." Selene said looking at the ginger.

"Then turn the rest of us." Chloe stated firmly.

"I can't. It's forbidden unless necessary."

"Turn us or we'll kill you." Aubrey said.

Selene sighed as she saw everyone nod in agreement. "Fine. But I'm warning you, it's gonna hurt."

"Just do it!" Aubrey yelled impatient.

Selene nodded and started with Chloe who asked to be turned first.

About an hour later, everyone stirred, waking up one by one. "Grrmmm."

There was cough. Chloe looked over to see her girlfriend looking around confused. "Beca?"

Beca looked at her quickly. "Chloe?..." She asked a bit nervous.

Nodding, Chloe got up and ran over to hug her. Beca wrapped her arms around the redhead and squeezed tight. "I thought I lost you. I love you so much."

"I love you too, My Beautiful Singing Queen." The brunette replied and pulled away to look her in the eyes. "What happened? Where are we?"

"Just outside Ordoghaz. After we got separated at the train station, you fell unconscious and were barely breathing. Selene found you and took you with her. We... The Bellas and I came to the castle and ran into Selene who told us what happened. Turns out vampires still live here. We took you to the hospital first, but it failed. Then Selene said the only way to save you was to turn you. When she told us that, I begged her to turn the rest of us as well. She said something and Aubrey got pissed. Then Aubrey threatened to kill her if she didn't."

"So what happened? Did she do it?"

"Yeah. We're all vampires now."

"Well... shit. Now what are we gonna do?"

"You're gonna all stick with me until we can find a way to make us immune to sunlight." A familiar voice said. All ten Bellas looked up to see Selene.

"What happens if we walk into sunlight?" Chloe asked.

"We burn to ash. Now I've talked to the coven, you're welcome to come in. You are now one of us. Each and every one of you."

The Bellas nodded and followed Selene into the castle.
