4. Ordoghaz

Selene carried Beca swiftly up to Kahn's lab and laid the mysterious gun on the table in front of him. "We have a SERIOUS problem."

"What's with the human?"

"The lycans attacked us in full view of the public and she got caught in the crossfire. She's not dead, just unconscious. She was with a group of friends and her girlfriend. She got separated when they tried to find a place to hide and was injured by one of the lycans in the process. I'm taking her to get checked out, but I had to bring you this first."

Kahn nodded. "It looks like some kind of daylight harnessed as a weapon."

"Ultraviolet ammunition."

By this time, Kraven showed up and started to argue with her. "You expect me to believe that a mangy animal designed a weapon made specifically to kill vampires?"

"No. I bet it's something they stole. Some sort of high-tech tracer round." Kahn replied.

"Look, I don't care WHERE they got these things." Selene started. "But Rigel is dead and Nathaniel could still be out there! We should gather a team and head back down there in force."

"Absolutely not. Not for a random occurs-ion."

"RANDOM?!? They attacked us in full view of the public." Selene argued. "Look, I know what I heard and I know what my gut tells me.There could be DOZENS of lycans down there. Who knows?!? Maybe more. HUNDREDS!"

"The house is in enough state of unrest as it is. Amelia's coming to awaken Marcus in three days time. It can wait until then."

"Kraven's right, Selene. There hasn't been a den of that magnitude since Lucian's reign."

"I know that, Kahn. But I'd rather have you prove me wrong by checking it out."

"Fine. I'll have Soren gather a team..."

"No! I want to lead the team myself."

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!! SOREN will handle it." Kraven said. "Hundreds. Really." He said to Kahn and left.

Selene growled then swiftly left to get her car.

As Selene drove out towards the gate with a still unconscious Beca in the back seat, she noticed a group of girls looking at the castle in awe. Once the gate was opened, she stopped and rolled her window down. "Can I help you ladies?"

Chloe walked over and recognized her. "Hi! Are we at Ordoghaz?"

"Yes. What can I do for you?"

"We thought the castle was abandoned centuries ago, but when we got here, it was perfectly in tact and we couldn't get through the gate. I'm sorry, Selene. We didn't realize anyone lived here. We just wanted to look around and check it out."

"I'm not the only one here. I found your girlfriend unconscious. She's in the back."

Chloe looked to the back seat and saw her unconscious girlfriend. "O.M.Aca-G.! Is she ok?!?"

"I don't know yet. I'm taking her to the hospital. Get in."

Chloe nodded and quickly got in the back seat laying Beca across her lap. "Oh, Becs."

Selene looked to the rest of The Bellas. "Get in. We need to go."

Everyone did as told and Selene sped off to the hospital.
