Prologue

If I had known what falling in love would cause, I would have tried to catch myself in the act. My mind is swimming with these thoughts as I watch the dirt flying from his shovel. Standing in the middle of the woods, in the cold, at night was already scary enough, but seeing the dead body on the ground was making me even more terrified.

"Hey!" his words snap me out of my catatonic gaze. I look over to him and he looks at me with worry.

"Look baby don't do this right now, ok?" He says while throwing the shovel down.

"I'm fine CJ can we just get this done please." I say as he walks towards me

"I need to know if you with me on this ok", he says as he rubs my arms up and down.

"You said this would be the last time this happened."

"Look Jazz it is the last time okay, just trust me", he says as he walks back over to the dead body. I watch as he drags the body and puts it in the hole he buried. I continue to wonder how I got myself into this situation.
