"Ugh! Seriously? Do I have to?" I whined. Guess who has their first day of the living hell hole aka this school. Ever since my dumpster dad forced me and my sister to come here, I have been more spiteful than ever.
Oh, great. Time to go start my day with this crap. Why do I have to be here? Why does anyone have to be here? People shouldn't have to die in here for being "special". Ever heard of mutant equality? Guess not.
My sister Aria, and I stopped in the entrance on our way to "training". My mom's voice was saying in my head,
"Val, I need you to listen because this is very important. Now I know that it's tough to be in that place. Just make sure that you and Sara watch yourselves. Remember, I'm always looking down on you. Be the leader you were always meant to be." I replied,
"Ok, mom. Thank you. I will be sure to stand out, but not too much." I whispered while letting a tear or two drop from my face.
"I wish Dad didn't put us here. Ugh, we have to escape soon." Aria said after a short silence.
"Aria, trust me when I say this: we will get out of here and when we do, nothing, and I mean nothing will ever stand in our way." I just didn't feel like going to another class that was humid with desperation and blood. "You know what, let's get out of here. Right here, right now."
"Are you crazy?" Aria was shocked. "No way, there are cameras in every corner in the school. Val, we're trapped, we can't leave."
"We have powers, Aria. If anything, we can use our scientific magic on these suckers. Come on, what do you say?" I asked with adventure in me.
"Alright. Fine, ill join you but only because I wanna leave." Glad she caved in. "Ok, let's start with the cameras. We can't be seen." Aria used her invisible forces to shatter the frame in the cameras. "Ok let's get out of here."
Aria and I were a second away from leaving without getting caught, until...
"Um, what are you guys doing out here?" a girl asked. "You shouldn't be here you know."
"Funny, you shouldn't be either. May I ask why you're out here?" Aria bribed.
"Uh..." She lied right through her teeth. "No reason, just getting some fresh air. Or in this case just air, because it's a lot better than what's in there."
"Well, we were just leaving." I dashed away before she interrupted our quest to get the hell out of here.
"Hold on." She walked up closer and closer until I felt uncomfortable within a 3 inch radius. "You guys are trying to escape. Huh, well you can't leave." I scoffed. Something wasn't right about her...
