I was wondering around well Cody and the others were practicing, I was hoping to maybe run into kaiden again not that I was looking for him or anything like that.
"So now you're stocking me?" A voice that was all to familiar said.
I jumped, then looked up to see it was Kaiden.
"Oh, hey." I said as I felt my cheeks start to heat up.
He smiled, oh god that smile sent shivers down my spine.
"So what's up?" He asked as he leaned against the wall.
"Not much really, just wondering around well the guys are practicing." I smiled lightly.
He noded as a small smirk touched his lips. "Oh what a shame I thought for sure you would stock me." He teased.
I giggled softly.
"Did I just fucking giggle!?"
"Nah not this time."
He laughed.
"So I gotta go my breaks almost over, but give me your number so I can text you later."
I smiled and noded as he handed me his phone.
After putting my number in his phone i handed it back to him smiling softly.
"Alright so i'll text you when I get off, yeah?"
I noded "yeah."
He smiled and walked away.
--Cody's Point Of View--
"Okay guys let's take 5 then we'll pick back up okay?"
They all noded. I walked out of the studio room to get a water when I saw Astrid talking to some "boy", I hide around the corner and watched them from a far. I don't care how weird this seems she's my daughter so I'm gonna be protective of her!
I smiled softly and started staring off into space as the word daughter lingered a little longer around in my head, longer then it should have. Thoughts of raising her from a baby to now made my heart flutter.
I shook my head "not right now, right now I need to know who that "BOY" is that Astrid is talking to."
I watched as she smiled and laughed at whatever it was that "the boy" was saying.
I don't really know how long I had been standing there. I felt a hand touch my shoulder, I jumped and turned to see that it was Maxx, he laughed.
"Haha sorry dude didn't mean to scare you."
"Its fine." I said as I cleared my throat.
"So what are you even doing?" He asked as he leaned over to see what was around the corner.
"Umm nothing, we should head back." I was about to leave.
"You're spying on Astrid."
"I am not! spying would imply that I was following her but in my defense I walked in on her talking to "the boy"."
Maxx laughed.
"Dude you are totally upset with the fact that she's talking talking to that boy aren't you?"
"What!? Like hell I could careless if she talks to boys." I said as I turned to leave.
"Oh so you're going to be okay with her kissing this boy?"
"WHAT!?" i turned around only to see she wasn't kissing "the boy".
Maxx laughed again.
"Cody listen whether you admit to it or not you are protective and Astrid is gonna talk to boys and date them. She's a teenager its what they do well most of them anyways but you need to let up a bit, you'll still be her dad, adoptive or not you'll always be her dad."
I smiled lightly and noded.
"Thank you maxx I really needed to hear that."
"No problem, that's what friends are for. Now let's go back and finish practicing."
"Okay."
And with that we headed back to the studio room.
--Astrid's Point Of View--
I walked to the studio room to meet up with Cody.
"Hey Cody you ready to go?" I asked.
"Yup."
I walked out to the car getting and sitting in the passenger seat.
"Can we get Chinese for dinner?" I asked when Cody got in.
"Yeah that sounds pretty good."
I smiled. "Yesss."
He started the car and pulled out leaving the parking lot. A blanket of awkward silance laid over us as he drove. The silance lasted for what seemed like forever that it started to become kinda uncomfortable.
Cody finally broke it.
"So do you like anyone?"
I just looked at him completely confused "well that's a weird thing to ask..."
"Well i don't know.... Why?"
Again another wave of an uncomfrotable awkward silence crossed over us for a while.
"Well-...." he started staring at the road.
"I just want to talk about..."
"If you started dating."
"Its just. You know. As a fellow member of the male species i know that-....."
I held my hands up, interrupting whatever it was that he was gonna say next.
"Nope you are going to stop right there!"
"All i was going to say was to always remember to use-..."
"I swear to god dad, you finished that sentence and i will fucking disown you."
"Okay, okay I won't but can i just say one thing, please?" He asked looking at me then back at the road.
I sighed.
"And whats that?"
He cleared his throat.
"Always remember the 7 "B's"."
"And they are?" I asked looking over at him.
"Books Before Boys Because Boys Bring Babies."
My eyes widened and my jaw dropped in complete disbelief.
"DAD!!!" i said finally coming out of my shock.
"What? Did I say it wrong, is it Boob's Before Boys Because Boys Bring Babies?" He asked looking confused.
"No dad its not that." I groaned as i slouched in my seat rubbing my temples.
"Where is this even coming from dad?" I questioned waiting for a response.
"Well.." I started pulling in the the parking lot of "Imperial Palace."
"I saw you with the "boy"." He shut the car off as i stared at him, stunned.
"The boy?" I asked confused.
"Yes."
"So you were spying on me?" I asked.
"No god between you and Maxx, i was not spying because spying would imply that i was planning on following you and watch you. I just happened to walk in on you talking to him and decided to listen." He smiled child like.
I rolled my eyes groaning with annoyance.
"But i dont understand why-....." I started when he cut me off.
"I'm sorry, i know I'm not your real dad that im just some guy in a band that adopted you but i feel like i am your dad so i want to be protective of you, but i don't know how to do that and give you your space. I don't know if im giving you to much space or if im to protective." He shut the car off and rested his forehead against the stiring wheel.
"I just......i just don't know....."
I softly placed my hand on his back.
"You are just be some guy in a band who adopted me, and no you're not the man who took part in bring me to existence but that doesn't make you any less my dad." I smiled softly "Being a dad is more then just blood, i haven't been adopted before and you haven't been my adoptive father for that long but i know for a fact that you are trying and that is was really counts."
He sat up facing me now a smile slowly forming on his lips as he wrapped his arms around me hugging me close. I hugged him back smiling more.
"When did you become so smart." He asked pulling away.
I scoffed "what are you talking about ive always been smart." I said flipping my hair over my shoulder dramatically.
He laughed and unbuckled getting out of the car.
"Yeah yeah, now come one get out."
I laughed umbuckling and getting out as well, shutting my door so Cody could lock it. And with that we walked into the imperial palace.
