CHAPTER THREE: I Can't Bear My Story of Unrequited Love
—
Jimin couldn't stop coughing.
Yes, it was because of the disease that had become way worse that night, but there was more to that.
He and his six friends had been hiking in the woods for only ten minutes, yet he had sneezed for approximately twenty times already. His nose was sensitive and he was allergic to dust, so poor Park Jimin had to endure the pain in the ass just to be able to spend New Year's Day with his best friends.
And because of his huge sneezing problem, he didn't have the opportunity to give Yoongi his usual sneaky glances from time to time.
He was still hoping that Yoongi would, one day, turn his head towards his direction and examine him with dazzling irises, or maybe give him a look that he has never given anyone before.
But then, he remembered.
Who was he to wish for something unattainable?
It wasn't like he was someone so special to the Min Yoongi; he was merely Park Jimin with a cute smile and a personality like that of an angel's. Their relationship was just friendly, or maybe more than that, but it would only limit to being brothers. At the end of the day, their relationship will not surpass that line.
And so Jimin chose to ignore him.
Especially now that Yoongi was two feet away from him.
A couple of minutes later, Jimin's eyes were still glued to the forest floor, not caring whatever shit he'd bump into nor even if he tripped. He thought of different things, important ones, excluding Yoongi from his messed up mind. It was a way for him to cease the growing of petals even for just an hour, and so far, he was doing a great job.
Not until Seokjin had announced their arrival, that is.
Jimin tore his gaze off the ground and observed his surroundings. He found his siblings putting their things by the wishing well and huddling as if they were about to play a serious game of soccer. Taehyung gestured for him to come, so he did. Now, he was mercilessly squished in between Taehyung and Namjoon, while all seven of their heads were touching the others.
Namjoon cleared his throat and gave out tasks for the others. "Since Seokjin and I were always the people who prepared this event shit, you five fuckers should take our place this year and let us rest."
"What does that even mean?" Hoseok grumbled. It sounded like he was about to coigh, but he did his best to restrain.
"It means that you kids should be the kids you are and obey the both of us."
"I'm older than you," both Yoongi and Hoseok said in unison.
"He's more mature and is the daddy here." Seokjin placed a hand on Namjoon's head and ruffled his hair.
Yoongi snorted. "You mean your daddy?"
Seokjin's face heated up and his hand left Namjoon's head. He glared at Yoongi then gave him the middle finger.
"Say more kinky stuff and I will kick you out of the house."
As Seokjin suppressed his anger, Namjoon had taken care of their 'kids' and paired them up to look for necessities all seven of them will be needing during their short stay in the woods.
Taehyung and Jungkook had jumped up and down when Namjoon had tasked them to go back to the house to get his Ryan hoodie that he had received from Seokjin last Christmas. Hoseok was mandated to fetch water from the lake all by himself because he could 'do all this shit' by his own. With the three of them already having their own tasks to accomplish, they all took off in two different ways, leaving Namjoon, Seokjin, Jimin, and Yoongi still huddling by the wishing well.
