Hayden's P.O.V.

Could he be more perfect? The way he moves across the soccer field and makes the ball into the net with every attempt he takes. His brown hair is damp as he runs to retrieve the ball from the net. Oh my god, I've been staring for so long! He could've seen me! I twirl my long blonde hair with my finger and rise from my seat on the bleachers. I try to hide my face with my math book as I scurry back into the main school building. My cap and gown are not ruined from sitting in the dirty bleachers, thank god. I just can't help it. Something just pulls me toward him and I don't know what it is.

"Hayden? Hayden! There you are! Where have you been? The graduation ceremony is in 10 minutes!" Avery exclaims as her and Noel walk towards me. I panic for a moment, I almost forgot about graduation. I scurry off with my best friends to the ceremony.

Louis's P.O.V.

I kick the soccer ball into the back of the net for the tenth time. It is kind of hard to kick a soccer ball in my cap and gown. But, I could really couldn't care less. Grass stains on my clothing has never held me back before and it's not going to start now. My parents are probably waiting in their chairs for me and here I am, chipping the ball into the back of a soccer net.

"Beautiful kick, son." My father puts his hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks." I don't make eye contact and just kick the ball, again.

"UCLA scouts were very impressed with your 12 goals last game. No wonder why you got excepted." He pats me on the back.

"Dad, I told you I'm still thinking about it."

"Thinking about it? What is there to think about? It's the best school in the nation for soccer." My father's eyes are burning through the back of my head. I just nod. I know better then to get into this argument with him. We've had it many times before, so it's pointless.

"Well, you can't go to UCLA if you don't graduate." He says and then leaves. I change out of my soccer cleats into my dress shoes and head to the ceremony.

Hayden's P.O.V.

"And now our valid Victorian will come up and say a few words." Mrs.Belinsky says and gestures for me to come on stage. I can feel my heart pounding and it seems as if it is in my throat. I walk on stage with sweaty palms. My hands rest on the podium. So many eyes are on me, judging every word and every move that I make. I shake that thought out of my head.

"Fellow graduates, today isn't only an end, but a beginning. Graduation is the end of high school, which I'm sure we are all very excited about." Everyone lets out a laugh and I continue my speech.

"But, we are also beginning our lives as individuals. We are entering the real word, whether we like it or not. No matter what we are all planning to do with our lives, I'm sure we will all remember our years at Greyson High. Thank you." I smile and walk off stage. The crowd applauds and whistles as Avery and Noel give me thumbs up. A weight is lifted off my shoulders as I take my seat.

...

"Congratulations graduates!" We all throw our caps in the air and cheer. Avery, Noel, and I all hug and laugh. Everyone rejoices and my friends and I all head to a late lunch. Liam was the only one there for me, because she was working late. He brought his girlfriend, Danielle, so I didn't want to talk to them. Things are awkward between us as is. I don't really want to throw his girlfriend into the mix. Dad would be proud of me. He promised to FaceTime me sometime within the next week or so. Being in Iraq doesn't help with anything, but I'm proud of him and he feels the same way towards me. My mother hasn't been the same since he left for war. But, that doesn't matter right now. I'm going to have a good lunch with my best friends.

"Jerk alert." Noel alarms me as we spot Damien, my ex boyfriend, in the corner of the restaurant. Avery rolls her eyes at him and we are seated at a table. Damien's asshole of a friend, Kyle, notices me and starts to annoy the crap out of me.

"Oh, look Damien! It's your old hoe!" Kyle remarks.

"Just ignore him, Hay." Avery attempts to make me tune out the rude jerks.

"Too bad you didn't get to fuck her. She seems like she would be great in bed." Kyle snickers.

"Shut the hell up! Can't you see we are trying to eat?" Avery tells across the restaurant. I give her a silent 'thanks you' and she nods.

"Just a week ago, he was begging you to take him back. And now he is having his friend make fun of you? Good thing you dumped his ass." Avery says and Noel and I both laugh. I'm glad that Damien and I broke up. He was nice at first, but he turned out to be a complete jerk.

"Let's just enjoy lunch." I suggest and they both nod.

Louis's P.O.V.

"How does it feel to be graduates guys?" Zayn asks and we all cheer. Harry, Niall, Liam, and I all take a drink of our Cokes and laugh.

"Well, I'm going to enjoy summer a little, you know lads?" Niall puts his feet up on the table and Liam quickly smacks him. He puts them down with a chuckle.

"Exactly, that's why Zayn and I were thinking about throwing a party. You know, to celebrate." Harry takes another sip of his coke.

"Sounds like fun." Liam says.

"Yeah, hot chicks, free food, maybe some alcohol, free food-"

"Do you only think about free food?" I ask Niall which gets me a smack on the back.

"Maybe you, Niall, and Harry can get girls, Lou." Zayn says to me. Sure, id like to have a girlfriend, but I have a lot on my plate right now. I just wish that I could escape from reality and find the perfect someone. But, where would I find someone that had the slightest interest in me?
