Kelly's Pov
Right now I'm on my way to Trey's house with Mumma. I'm getting to his house and Mumma opens the door. There's alcohol on the counter.
Me: Tremaine?
Trey: Wassup?
He looks awful.
Me: You look awful.
Trey: I'd rather look how I feel.
Me: Tremaine.
I caress his face and he touches my hands.
Me: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ran out like that. It's just I......
Trey: Does this have anything to do with my career and making my career better?
Me: What? No!
Trey: Then why are you here? You ain't got nothing to talk about.
Me: Tremaine.
Trey: I have a show to get ready for. I'll see you later.
He grabbed his jacket and left. Mumma just looked at me and I just walked out to where he was.
Me: I only came here to tell you how much I loved you! I need you at home with me. I hate coming home and knowing that you're not there. But that doesn't matter. It's not business. Right? It ain't gon make you no richer so it doesn't matter.
Trey: Kel.
Me: No I'm going back to my empty house. Go do your damn show.
I just walked away after that. I don't wanna hear what he has to say right now.
Mumma's Pov
I can't believe that just happened.
Trey: Mumma I'll see you later.
Me: Alright.
Later.........Trey's Pov
Me: Mila get the fuck out man.
Mila: I only messed up once.
Me: Nah you messed up on multiple occasions. But I messed up too. I messed up all chances of ever having the woman I love for the rest of my life messing with you. I could have been happy.
Isaiah: Trey chill.
Me: Nah you shut up man. You hurt her. That's why she left. You hurt the love of my life and the thing about it is the fact that you always did and I let you. I was stupid and let you. She loved me.
Mumma: (on the phone) Kelly baby are you alright.
Kelly: I'm fine Ma. I promise.
I took the phone.
Me: Kelly where are you? Baby. Baby I need you.
Kelly: Tremaine. Calm down.
Me: Baby I just wanna come home.
Kelly: Tremaine you have a show. Can you please hand your mother back her phone?
Me: No. We need to talk.
Kelly: I said what I needed to say.
She hangs up.
Tony: Trey you have to do your show.
Me: Alright.
I'll talk to her later.
Kelly's Pov
I need to go to sleep but I can't sleep without him. Where are my pills?
Fan's Pov
Trey doesn't look happy anymore. Especially tonight. I know this from the way he's singing Please Return My Call.
Trey: Girl I need you to.....please return my call......
The music stops and a tear falls.
Trey: I'm sorry yall.....
Other fans: What's wrong Trey?
Trey: Kelly Rowland......Kelly baby I'm sorry. I was stupid for acting the way I did. Baby I just wanna come home. I love you. You are all the woman I need.
The stage staff brought him a phone.
Trey: Hello...What do you mean she's in the hospital.....Okay I'll be there soon....Bye.
Fan: What happened?
Trey: Kelly needs me right now. She's in the hospital and she's not waking up. I love yall but I need to be there for her right now. She's the light of my life and I don't know what I would do without her. I'm sorry. I will make it up to you. Yall will get refunds and all of your money back.
And with that he left.
Trey's Pov
I get to the hospital and they won't let me see her.
Front desk lady: Mr. Neverson you are not allowed to see her
Me: Please? You have to let me see her.
Front desk lady: You aren't on the list of immediate family. I can't let you back there.
Mama: Where's my daughter?
Me: Hey Mama Ro.
She looks at me and grabs my hand.
Front desk lady: I'll take you to her.
She tries to bring me back there and the lady stops Mama.
Front desk lady: He can't go back there. He's not immediate.....
Mama: He is immediate family. He's more family than any other person that comes up in here.
Front desk lady: But.
Mama: No buts. You're gonna let him come back......
Kelly:(weak) Trey?
Mama runs to Kelly.
Kelly: (crying) Where's Trey?
I run to her and she hugs me.
Me: Baby I'm here. I'm here.
Kelly: (crying) They had me back there and I was so scared.
Me: It's okay. I'm here baby. I'm here.
Kelly: Stay with me?
Me: I promise I'm not going anywhere.
Kelly: Okay.
I kiss her forehead and I hold her until she falls asleep. Then I go with Mama in the hallway with the doctor.
Mama: What happened?
Doctor: As you know, Kelly was given sleeping pills due to her not sleeping as much as she should.
Mama: Yes I do know.
Doctor: Your daughter had been taking them with alcohol. Both of those in her system at the same time is really a no no. And what you are seeing tonight is proof of what happens when alcohol and meds are in the human body.
Me: Please don't give her any more.
Mama: I agree. Give her no more.
Doctor: Alrighty.
The doctor looks at me.
Doctor: She needs you Mr. Neverson.
Me: I'm gonna take care of her.
Doctor: Good.
He walks away and I look at Mama.
Mama: I know about what happened. It's okay. She's just waiting for you. She loves you too much to let you go. Yall are meant to be.
Me: I wanna do something. I just need your permission.
Mama: You have it.
