ARIN

I bend over to shake his hand, leaning my chair over towards him. In one swift motion, I lean over to shake his hand and SPLASH!

Oh no! No!

I knock over his coffee! This is bad!

The desk is soaked, along with the stack of papers he had just brought. Mr. Lee Chan's eyes narrow as the black liquid drips onto his leg. OMO! What to do?!

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed. Oh my gosh! This is so bad! My first day, my first boss and my first job! What now Arin?! Is he mad? Is he going to fire me?

"It's fine, I'll just get some paper towels." Then he left. He just says that but obviously looking on his face, he's totally annoyed with me.

What a wonderful first impression

Mr Lee returns with a stack of paper towels, then he hands a couple to me and we clean up the mess. While we're cleaning up, no one is saying a word. I can't just let this pass, I must do something!

"I'm sorry, I really am sorry Mr Lee. I really didn't mean to."

Is he really mad at me? Why is he not responding? Am I going to fired? It can't be! No!

"Well, good thing I asked Jine to make another copy of the pages earlier." sigh

He reaches into his drawer and grabs another stack. way to go!

"Just.. just don't spill on this one." I breathe a sigh of relief. Thank goodness! At least he was prepared.

Okay, back to work!

"So take a look at the first page of that packet. This is the staff contact and these... Mr Lee guides me through the paperworks for the next hour and a half. I never knew that paperworks were so many.

Despite my awkward start, he keeps it professional the entire time. It's kind of... impressive

but also a little disappointing, I feel like it's my fault we didn't get along right away. Anyway, we'd so much time for that.

With that, the day slowly inches by.

"Looks like you're free to go." He said while arranging some stack of papers.

"Oh! Okay.. uh, thanks for helping me out today, Mr Lee." I nervously said. Reminder! Don't be nervous!

"Of course. It's my duty as a head producer." He nods and starts packing up his things.

"See you next time... Ms. Yewon"

"Yes. I look forward to it, Mr. Lee... and I promise I will never ever spill coffee on you again."

With that, he smiles, a sideways smirk.

ARIN

As I left the company, I head to the bus stop for my usual route, but I ride it a little longer to reach my destination. On my ride, I take out my journal and begin to write today, my mini diary notebook.

Dear Minmin,

Today was not so great. I can't help but feel like I've forgotten you now...

*Last destination for Bus route 19* The speaker announces. The bus already arrived on it's last destination. Maybe I'll finish it later.

When I get off the bus, I have to walk the rest of the way to my own destination. It takes me about half of 20 minutes to make it all the way.

"Finally..." I sighed. I sat down beside him

"All right, Minmin. I'm here." The breeze blows gently, pushing my hair into my eyes.

"Hmm... so.. two years, am I right?... A lot has changed since the last time I visited."

Today is the second anniversary of my best friend's death, Kim Mingyu.
