Chapter 6

Laura POV

A few weeks passed and things were steadily getting better.

My parents dying wasn't helping and the depression hardly ever stopped.

Cameron and I were at home one day when there was a knock on the door.

"I got it!" I said, walking to the door.

When I pulled the door open, I was pleasantly puzzled by the teenage boys standing at my doorstep.

Cameron didn't seem surprised while I was really confused.

"What's going on?" I called back to Cameron.

"Oh! The guys must be here! We leave for Magcon tomorrow. Didn't I tell you that?" He said, walking to the door, scratching behind his neck.

"No!" I laughed. "What am I doing while you're gone?"

"You're coming with us, silly goose!" He ruffled my hair before inviting the guys in.

The boys pulled in their suitcases and ran immediately to the kitchen.

Not surprised.

I smiled and shook my head before walking into the kitchen behind them.

Hayes POV (Surprise!)

This bag is really stuffy.

Why am I in a bag?

Nash came up with the brilliant idea when we were waiting on a taxi to hide me in a bag, and surprise Laura.

So these brilliant idiots made the taxi go to Walmart and they spent 30 bucks on money we were supposed to use to eat to buy a bag.

So here I am stuck in a tight space on Cameron's living room floor.

I huffed and sat in silence, trying to count to 1000.

By the way it's harder than you think.

Is this ideal?

No.

Is it worth it?

Let's see. Surprise my girlfriend I haven't seen in 3 months.

Heck yeah.

10 seconds later I heard the boys and Laura burst through the door.

"Where is he?!" I heard Laura say.

"We told you he's not here Laura!" Cameron said.

"He's, uh, sick." Nash said.

"Ok." Laura sniffled.

Nash kicked my bag.

That's my cue.

I unzipped the bag to see Laura hugging Carter.

Carter stepped away and I hugged her from behind.

"Hi gorgeous." I said in her ear.

She turned around a squealed.

"Hayes!" She latched her arms around my neck.

"I missed you!" She said.

"I'm pretty sure I missed you more." I laughed.

She pulled away.

"Prove it." She smirked.

I raised my eyebrow and she humphed.

I cupped her check in my hand and smashed her lips against mine.

She looped her arms around my neck again and kissed me passionately back.

"Awwwww!" 9 other boys chorused, bringing us back from our own little world.

She gave me a perfect smile that could light up this whole room and I smiled back.

How did I get so lucky?
