5 Years Later

Hayes POV

The sunlight shines through my window as my eyes open.

"Bro, get up, Magcon reunion today." Nash said, bouncing on my bed.

I got up, ready and went downstairs plopping down each step.

It was the christmas holiday and everybody was flying to Cameron's house for a reunion.

Why we always went to Cameron's house, I have no clue but anyways.

Nash and some of the other guys were home from college for the holidays and decided this was the best time to do it.

Me? I'm a senior in high school and quarterback of the football team/ lacrosse star.

How did I feel about seeing Laura?

It's a mix of nervousness and excitement.

I haven't seen Laura in 5 years.

She stopped coming to Magcon events, she never tweeted, she got what she wanted:

Out of the spotlight.

I went in my pictures and scrolled to one of the pics I still had of us.

I smiled and Nash looked over my shoulder.

"You really need to talk to her when we get there." He said.

"Well of course I will, we can't pretend like that...us... Just never happened." I said back.

He just smiled.

"You're still head over heels for her, just like the day you met her." He shook his head.

"Am not!" I protested, lying.

"You've only dated 2 girls since you were 13." He said.

"They don't feel right. They aren't..."

"Laura." He said, cutting me off.

I nodded.

"I guess."

"Let's go, Mom will be down here any second to drive us to the airport."

As if on cue mom came down the stairs with Skylynn, who's now 9, by her side.

"You guys ready?" She smiled at us.

We nodded.

We drove to the airport in silence and when we arrived at security Mom and Skylynn hugged us.

"Bye Nashy!" Skylynn shouted, hugging Nash, Who was still her favorite.

"Be safe, ok?" Mom said.

"Mom don't worry." I hugged her and rubbed her back.

We waved goodbye and walked to our gate.

Laura POV

Me and Cameron were rushing around the house, getting everything ready for the guys.

"Laura! The cookies are ready!" Cameron shouted from the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen to see Cameron reaching for a brownie.

I slapped his hand.

"Later." I scolded him.

"Sorry Mom." He said.

I glared at him and got the cookies out of the oven.

"Is all the food ready?" I asked.
