"BEEEEEEEEP" The sound of a constant beeping noise woke me up. I was lying on the floor of a very white room. I could hear people frantically talking and someone was sobbing too. I sat up and realized I was in a hospital room. Why was I lying on the floor? I stood up and saw a bunch of people all around a bed. Doctors and nurses, but what was even weirder was that my parents were there.

"Mom? Dad? What are you guys doing here?" I asked. They didn't hear me so I moved forward. I then realized that my mother was the one who was crying. I rushed over to her so that I could comfort her.

"Mom, what's wrong?" I tried to put my hand on her shoulder, but it went right through. What's happening? Is this another dream? I looked over at the bed to see what everyone was making a fuss over. The sight made me stop cold. It was me. I was lying in the bed, pale and thin, like I hadn't eaten anything in weeks. I realized what the beeping sound in the background was, it was the flatline of a heart monitor. I raced over to my parents again. This time I caught what she was saying.

"Not Lillian too! She has to wake up from her coma! She can't just leave us here! I can't lose both of them!" Both of them. That was all I needed to hear, and then I knew that my suspicions were correct. Kaden was dead. I frantically ran over to my parents again.

"Mom, Dad, it's ok. I'm right here!" It didn't matter, they couldn't hear me. I sat down and sobbed defeated. After everything I had done I had, only made things worse for everyone.

I cried for what felt like hours. I didn't even notice when the hospital faded away and someone approached me.

"Lilli? Is that you?" I stopped crying at the sound of the familiar voice. I lifted my head just to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me.

"Kaden!!!" I jumped up, ran into his arms, and hugged him with all my strength. He hugged me back, even more fiercely. We stayed like that for a long time, until he pulled away. I then noticed that we were in a place even more beautiful than Arcadia. Kaden took my face in his hands, and wiped away my tears. Looking up into his face I could see those familiar, confident, bright green eyes.

"I can't believe you're here!" I smiled full of happiness.

"Come with me, I have something to show you." And with that he took my hand leading me further away from my old life and farther into this strange new world, but I didn't care. As long as I was with Kaden I was whole.
