" Hell yeah ! " You shouted in joy after the call of your employer.

Indeed, Morrison told you he found you a job that consists to seek and kill a demon that terrorizes people in the mountains, where there is a ski station. He also said that the man that asked for you to get rid of the monster, who was the station's director, would let you stay there as long as you needed to eradicate the beast for free. And that he didn't mind if there was someone to accompany you.

So let's say you were really happy right now. It was like holidays to you. But you hesitated to choose who will go with you.

Vergil.

No no. He would never accept ! Heck, even the coldest mountain was put to shame under his behavior.

Vergil !

STOP IT, STUPID FEELINGS !

UGH, FINE. I'LL ASK HIM. BUT DON'T GO CRYING AFTER THAT.

As you sighted heavily, you entered Devil May Cry, seeing Dante reading some Playboy magazine with his feet on his desk. He didn't move at your arrival but did greet you with his usual carefree attitude.

" Sup babe. "
" Hey D. Do you know where Verg is ? "

Raising an eyebrow, he glanced at you curiously.

" Upstairs, in the library. Why ? "
" Got somethin' to ask him, I'll tell you later alright ? " You smiled mysteriously at him and left before he could utter a word.

You made your way to the library without a sound. The door was already opened. You entered the room and searched the cold white haired male. Your heart fell when you saw him sitting in a comfortable armchair, without his blue coat on and concentrated on reading a big book.

Regaining control of your body, you blushed the slightest bit but acted normally. You approached him quietly and stopped before him at a respectable distance. You smiled lightly, even if it didn't seem he acknowledged your presence.

" Hey Vergil. "

Said man didn't move a muscle at your greeting but somehow you knew he was listening. That's a start...

" I got a job in which I have to kill a demon in some ski station. The owner said I could bring someone to accompany me, so I was wondering if you could... Go with me, please ? "

After that awkward demand, silence took over. You shifted nervously, cursing yourself for asking when you knew he would say no. And it didn't surprise you when you heard his frozen voice after what felt like hours.

" No. "

You felt like you had been punched really hard in the stomach, but what did you expect seriously ? Your (E/C) eyes glued to the floor, you clenched your hands into fists. With flames in your sight, you glared at the cold bastard.

" Fine. I'll go ask Dante then. " You then proceeded to walk to the door, attempting to make him jealous even though he wouldn't care, " I'm sure HE will take great care of me there, us alone in a cabin for several days... I can't wait for that. "

Suddenly the door closed before you quickly, and you were trapped between Vergil's arms, your face in front of the door. You felt a warm breath on your left ear, making you shiver slightly.

" Pack your belongings now. " His deep icy voice spoke, creating goosebumps all over your body again.

Your face was as red as Dante's coat by now and you heard yourself mutter a " O-okay... " while stuttering like an idiot. This was not you ! But when you were near Vergil you would always become shy, blushing and stuttering.

You then left the room ( rather quickly might I add ), your heart beating furiously.

" (Y/N), you foolish girl... " Whispered the owner of Yamato with the ghost of a smirk on his lips.
