Chapter 8 You're...

The last three days have been a blur some memories have returned but I still don't remember my  relationship with Jesse and it scares me not knowing, Jesse has been amazing and is taking things very slow telling me as much information as he can but I can tell he wants me to know it through my own memories. I haven't seen Yatesy since I went the beach I want to ask my mum if he's my dad  but she would just deny it being him, Anna puts a plate of fruit in front of me I've been avoiding everyone apart from Jesse. But today Jesse is working and I'm stuck in the restaurant.

A few minutes pass and a feel someone next to me as I was on my laptop, I look up to see Yatesy I take out my headphones "I'm not interrupting am I?" He asks I shake my head "good so what's good here?"

"The moussaka is good" I reply and see he's on his own "are you on your own" he nods.

"Yeah nobody wants to chill with me" he chuckles "and I heard this place is good how about yourself".

"My family owns this place I'm kinda forced to be here" I smile and begin to eat the fruit Anna gave me.

"Explains why you look so board" he laughs "you look like one of my customers" I give him a confused look "I work as a bartender when I'm not a lifeguard but I don't think you're old enough to drink".

"I'm 18".

"Really" then I see him thinking "when's your birthday"

"January 8th 1997, I never forgot my birthday" I laugh his eyes go wide "are you ok?" he takes a couple of seconds to answer.

"Um yeah" he looks down at his phone "it was nice talking to you I've gotta to head off".

After Yatesy left Anna sat next to me "who was that?".

"Somebody Jesse works with", she nods stealing a grape "hey" she smirks popping it into her mouth.

"So yesterday I hear my mum talking to your mum and guess what Ava?"

"What?"

"My mum knows who your dad is Ava" I smile "his name is Kris Yates he met your mum in a bar, can you believe it you mum went to a bar" my mum doesn't drink "Anyway she was feeling guilty for keeping it from everyone."

"Anna Jesse's work mate is Kris Yates" her eyes go wide "I know he's my dad but he doesn't know, my mum said my dad saved me and he did".

"Oh my god Ava that's amazing not amazing that he doesn't know but that you know I wonder why Nina wants my mum to talk to him?" I shrug.

I look at the clock the big had was on the 12 and the little one was on the 7 I had a little celebration in my head, my family doesn't like me to be on my own at all, "Θήτης πηγαίνω με τον Jesse" he's not here yet I just want to get out of this hot restaurant.

I don't give my aunts chance to answer I just walk out to the car park and take deep breaths God it was hot in there I hear someone talking on the phone I look  to see it was Yatesy "do you remember Nina? she has a daughter she's 18...as soon as I saw her then heard her surname I knew she was Nina's daughter..apparently her dads Australian Reidy said, there is a chance she's mine mum, I'm sure she's mine actually...her name is Avery... she's such a sweet girl" he chuckles "mum my wild ways made something good" he turns around his eyes go wide "mum I've got to go" he puts down the phone.

"I know your my dad, Yatesy" I get tears in my eyes "I realised when you spoke to me my mum said my dad saved me the day of my accident" I wipe the tear which was running down my cheek "Your my dad" I don't know what to do now.

"I knew you were, you're so much like me, you can hug me I don't bite" I do hug him when we let go "how much of the phone conversation did you hear?".

"All of it sorry"

"No it's fine, so where is your mum? I would like to talk to her"

"She's in Greece, she got deported when I was two".

"Oh I'm sorry..how is she?"

"It's ok she's good she works in a hotel in Athens and we have a good relationship".

"That's good, If you don't mind me asking Why didn't she take you" I shrug I'm not too sure my Aunt says it's because she wanted me to have a better life Ava could I have her number I would like to talk to her". 

A few minutes pass we spoke the whole time until I hear a car pull up it was Jesse "oh hey Yates what you doing here? He asks putting down the window.

"Someone said the Moussaka here is good so thought I would try it out see you at Work Jess, see ya around Ava" he smiles walking off.

I climb in the car and get a hug off Jesse "how was your day?" I ask putting on the seatbelt, Jesse still hasn't moved even though I was safely strapped in.

"Ava your not telling me something?" How the hell does he know does he have a sixth sense "You found out Yatesy is your dad didn't you?"

"Yes you could of told me".

"It wasn't my place to tell though,when you were at the beach he asked me your mums name then he must of twigged when I told him, Ava it's hard for him like it is you at least you both know now" Jesse is right at least we both know but one question still remains why didn't my mum tell him when I was born or when she saw him rescue me.
