Jeremy rested his head against the cool locker. His face was burning and his head was spinning. "Jeremy?" Michael asked, leaning against the lockers to have a better look at his friend. "Hey dude, you don't look so good."

"I-I'm fine.." Jeremy whispered, trying to stand on his own. His knees gave out from beneath him and he fell limp onto his best friend. "Jer?!" Michael lifted the flushed boy into his arms and quickly made his way to the nurse.

Jeremy's eyes slowly opened to see a nurse replacing the towel on his head with a cold one. He let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding, drawing the girls attention. "Hey sweetie. Your friend brought you here about an hour ago." She said with a soft smile.

He looked around tiredly, sat up and mumbled, "Where's Michael?.. I need Michael..."

Jeremy's face started getting hot and his eyes started stinging. His breathing became irregular and he started shaking. "I need Michael. N-need Michael.. Michael..." His voice trailing off into huffs of desperate breaths.

The nurse tried calming him down but when she tried putting a hand on him, he screamed at her to stop. It was a fever and anxiety induced panic attack. No one could help him except Michael when these occurred, (Although rarely fever induced**).

"Darling he's in class," She said, trying to hush him. "I need you to calm down, please."

Jeremy clutched his chest with both hands as he hyperventilated. His vision was getting darker as his breaths got shorter. He clamped his hands over his ears and let out a few dry sobs. A soft hand was placed on his head and he quickly looked up to see his Player 2.

Jeremy let out a shaky breath and reached his arms out towards him. Michael scooped Jeremy into his loving arms and calmed him down. "Hey, buddy.." He whispered rubbing his best friend's back soothingly. "It's okay, Michael's here. It's okay."

His breathing started regulating again and he quieted down to just cries and hiccups.

Michael started humming in Jeremy's ear and playing with his hair. "Michael I don't feel g-good.." Jeremy mumbled going limp. Michael laid Jeremy down on the bed and rushed off to find the nurse.

The bell rung, signalling the end of the school day. Jeremy's eyes opened lazily and he spotted Michael talking to someone he didn't take notice of. He softly grabbed onto Michael's sleeve, catching his attention.

"Hey Jeremy," Michael said quietly, turning his attention to Jeremy with a smile. "How ya feelin'?" Jeremy groaned in reply and looked up at the ceiling. "I wanna go home.. Can we go home?" He asked rubbing his eyes.

Michael nodded and helped him stand up.

Jeremy stumbled a bit and clung to Michael for his dear life. "You're gonna be a bit drowsy for a couple hours because of the medicine, but the nurse said you should be feeling better in no time!" Michael said cheerfully, helping Jeremy walk to the car.

"Okay.." Jeremy mumbled climbing into the passenger seat. Michael buckled him in and walked around to the drivers side before getting in himself. He started driving, watching Jeremy from out of the corner of his eye.

Jeremy had his head against the window, his eyes drowsy, and was muttering incoherent things.

They pulled into the driveway and Michael started to get out of the car. "Where are we?" Jeremy asked, making Michael look at him. Michael chuckled, "We're at your house dude, you asked for me to take you home."

Jeremy's tired eyes narrowed in confusion and annoyance. "Not my house Michael!" He said throwing his head back weakly. "I wanna go home.."

Michael sat back down in his seat with a confused look. "Please elaborate Jer," He mused, leaning his head on his hand. "Where's home?"

Jeremy looked at Michael with a face that asked 'really?'. He leaned back against the seat and said in a hushed voice, "The basement, at your house."

Michael's face lit up like an open flame. "M-my house?" He asked, unsure if he'd heard correctly. Jeremy nodded before shutting his eyes.

With his face as hot as the sun, he buckled himself back in and restarted the car.

Michael got out of the car and carried Jeremy inside, finding it fairly easy because he was so light. He took them both down to the basement and Jeremy inhaled deeply. "Home.." He muttered sleepily.

Michael laid Jeremy down on the spare mattress and sat down next to him.

Jeremy quickly started drifting off to sleep as Michael felt his forehead. He was cooling down, but just to be safe he should go get a damp cloth.

He tried to get up but was stopped by a teary-eyed Jeremy. "Don't leave.. I'm sorry Michael..." He whispered hoarsely and started crying silently. Michael panicked a little, why was he sorry?? Sorry about what??

He wiped Jeremy's tears away and shook his head asking, "What? Why are you sorry Jer?"

"T-the Halloween party last year.." He cried out. "I l-left you all alone! I-I'm so sorry M-Mikey.."

"Hey hey hey.. It's okay, I've already forgiven you. It's all in the past buddy." Michael said sweetly.

Jeremy cried harder as he sat up. "You shouldn't have.. I-I don't deserve you Michael...."

Michael pulled him into his chest, mostly to try and hide his ever-growing blush, and kissed his head. "It's okay. Someone as dull and non-creative as me doesn't deserve you Jeremy." He said earnestly. "You deserve the sun, the moon, all the stars in the sky, and the countless galaxies out there. Not this lump.."

Jeremy leaned back, stared at him in shock and put a hand against Michael's face. "You are not a lump Michael. You are my favourite person.. Never think that of yourself," He mumbled, resting his head on Michael's chest.

"I..." He whispered anxiously, his face going red like it usually does when he's nervous. "I think I'm in love Michael."

The blood drained out of Michael's face. "O-oh..?"

"Sorry I'm really tired I said that wrong.." He said, smirking. "I know I'm in love Michael."

Michael sighed but still smiled happily for his best friend. "Already?"

"Gosh you can't take a hint, can you?"

"What?"

"I'm in love- with you Michael."

"O-oh. T-that's good. Because I'm in love w-with you too."

"Mmm.. That's good. But I'm sleepy, so lie down with me."

"Okay.. babe.....?" Michael questioned, earning a sly smirk from the boy in his arms.

"I like the sound of that."
