CLAUDIA'S POV

My brother Luke picked me up at my penthouse and till now he is asking me if I want to go tho this event. "Thanks Luke I know you will be there with dad and the others so no need to worry bout me okay?" I told him.

"Luke, claudia were here." My brother's guard and driver Lorenzo says. As I look outside I see many press taking photos of the wealthiest businessmen and important people who attends in this event. Lorenzo opened the car door and Luke look at me for before he went down.

Keeping the mantra in my mind. I can do this I can do this. I step out of the limo and smile as the camera flashes. "Smile princess I know you miss this kind of events I'm here don't worry." He hold my hand and I held his arms walking down the red carpet.

"Mr. Johnson is that your sister?" Ask one of the reporters "Ms. Johnson how are you? Its been years" ask the other one "Ms. Johnson you know that Todd Williams will be here right?" Now that's one hell of a question!

Luke and I walk towards the event hall ignoring all their questions. "Oh I miss this Lukey" I laughed coz I know this will happen but I didn't expect that it will be intense. "Just ignore them princess come on" we enter and greeted by businessmen and my brother and father's associates.

Luke held me tight and lead me towards our table where mom and dad is sitting together with cristoff, drew and raf our cousins who are running their own businesses.

"Look whose here finally! Hi Claudia I mean doctor Claudia" my cousin cristoff says and hugged me "hey mister its been a long time" he chuckle as always I am their little girl.  Raf and drew approach and hugged me "dude hold her okay and you two look out you know the drill. I'll just talk to Mr. Grayson over there" Now my overly protective brother and cousins have their own language.

"No problem Luke there's nothing we can't handle." Raf says "thank you guys this is why I love you all" I chuckle this is one of the perks of being an only girl in the family.

After a few minutes we seated on our table and the program started. "Ladies and gentlemen welcome to our yearly cancer awareness charity event." There are many businessmen who shared a big amount and they call some of the biggest businessmen in the industry to speak on how they can contribute with the projects that this charity has been doing. Including dad, my brother and others.

"We want to call on Mr. William Todds who contributed Ten million dollars for the cancer patients of New York General Hospital" and there I am shocked not because he is here but because he donated in the hospital where I am working.

"For real? You're working there Claudia right?" Ask raf "yah and this asshole is really testing my patience" says Luke who clenched his fist.

"Goodevening Ladies and gentlemen its been an honor....." I don't know if what his motives are though thankful coz it will be a big help for my patients specially those who are really in need. Yes I am an oncologists a doctor who treats cancer.

"Thank you and have a goodnight everyone." Todd ended his speech but he is looking at me. " may we call on the attention of Doctor Claudia Johnson she is an oncologist in New York General Hospital maybe she can give us some details for us to know more and understand what is cancer" The MC said.

I was shocked but I stood up . My brother held my hand and lead me in the stage "you can do this princess mom, dad and I are here. " he smiled and squeezed my hands. I smiled at him and walked on the stage in the podium.

I started "Good evening I am Doctor Claudia Johnson of Johnson's Corporation who works at New york General hospital. I am a cancer doctor mainly called Oncologists. For everybody's information Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. Not all tumors are cancerous; benign tumors do not spread to other parts of the body. Many cancers can be prevented by not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, not drinking too much alcohol, eating plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole grains, vaccination against certain infectious diseases, not eating too much processed and red meat, and avoiding too much sunlight exposure.
Because cancer is a class of diseases, it is unlikely that there will ever be a single "cure for cancer" any more than there will be a single treatment for all infectious diseases.Many treatment options for cancer exist. The primary ones include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy and palliative care. Which treatments are used depends on the type, location and grade of the cancer as well as the patient's health and preferences. The treatment intent may or may not be curative." I can feel an eye looking at me intently, I glance his way. "with the amount Mr. Williams has given to our hospital I know it will be a big help not only  by him but also to other hospitals and for everyone who donated such big amounts for the cancer patients. I hope that I have given you enough information since everyone here are giving such big amounts. Thank you and enjoy the night everyone."

I hear them clapping and one by one the MC and the director of the charity approached me "oh thank you Doctor Johnson and were sorry for we didn't give you notice that you will stand and speak infront of everybody." She says. "There won't be any problem no worries it is an honor to be a part of this event." I smiled at her coz I know I need to voice out for the cancer patients who suffered specially thos who can't afford the treatment.

"Sorry for being rude I am Maggie Wilson. Director of the Charity Institution." She held my hand and I saw sincerity in her eyes. "Would you mind if you will be a part of this charity? I mean an Ambassador perhaps?" She added. Well who am I to say no to this kind of opportunity right? " the pleasure is all mine Maggie here is my card so can call me to talk about this I know today is not the right time." I answered her.
And with that I head back towards our table.

"Were very proud of you darling" my mom hugged me  "that's my girl!" Dad exclaimed and hugged me.
The food is delivered in our tables and we started eating.
