I walked into my new condo, and smiled. It's been forever since I was in Cali again. The last time I was here, was when I was saying goodbye to my best friend Dante. In truth , I missed him. We did everything together. But, having a dad that was the head of the biggest Cali cartel made life hard on me. We were always moving, so making friends was pointless. But, Dante understood and we bonded because his family was head of a Cali gang known around for their lifestyle, so our lifestyles were the same.  Enough about that though

I switched on the lights as I walked through the condo. It was beautiful if I say so myself. And it was all mines. I paid for it with my own money I got from being a model and investing money into the housing industry, and I was working on singing as well. You could say I had things all worked out for a 19 year old. But, I still have alot of learning to do.  Grabbing some clothes from my closet, I went into the bathroom to shower and meet up with some old friends who wanted to  show me around again and celebrate me being back in Cali. I came along way from the Dominican republic and that situation, and I finally was getting shit together again.

I showered and made sure I scrubbed myself down with my favorite scent. Which was, vanilla and lavender. I stepped out feeling refreshed, I needed that shower after that long ass flight from the Dominican to Cali. I dried off and put on my grey tank crop top, with my black jean shorts and put on some dark grey converse that matched my top. Then I spritzed myself with some vanilla body spray by kiss, and grabbed my keys locking up my house and hopping in my new blue and black Camero. The drive to the boardwalk was only ten minutes away from my condo .

I arrived at the boardwalk, and headed to this cute little cotton candy store called boardwalk cotton, and as soon as I walked up, I got lifted into the air and heard nothing but squeals. "Omggg, Arielle girl you're gorgeous." My friend Mina said siting me down. "Nah, you're gorgeous Mami." I said smiling hugging her. "Bruhhh, it gotta be something in that Dominican water, cus you got thick and you're glowing." My other friend Cassie said .  "Y'all look good yourselves, like damn." I said laughing making them do a 360 turn. " "Come on we gotta show you what Cali living is." They grabbed my hand and dragged me all over the boardwalk. A girl was tired af. I had to admit, Cali living was definitely something I could get used to again. As we were catching up, someone called my name. I looked over my shoulder and turned around to see who was calling my name. I couldn't see who it was, but they were coming closer so their face was getting clearer. It was Donte. I smiled, my best friend had found me after all this time. I could barely move, I was just frozen in place. Mina and Cassie walked over to two guys I recognized as Donte's friends trey and kj , and kissed them. Hmmm. Couples that's cute. Donte walked over to me and lifted me. "I missed you ma, where TF you been?" "In the Dominican, I just got back a day ago." He smiled, and my heart fluttered. After all this time he still made me feel some type of way. I smiled back and wrapped my arms around his waist as he sat me down. He chuckled, "you're still a midget." I smacked his stomach and he laughed.  "You have a beard now I see." "Yea , you like it?" "Depends, lemme touch it." He leaned his face down and let me touch it." I ran my hands over it, it was soft and curly. "I love it." "I missed you, tell me you ain't busy." He said looking down at me. "I'm always available for my best friend." "Yessss." He said happily
" You childish Tae." He laughed and pulled my hair. "So." I laughed and he took off with me running right after him. I leaped onto his back and he laughed, "what are you half monkey?" He asked. "Yes , I learned from them In the Dominican."  He died laughing and I chuckled. He was cute when he actually laughed and smiled. It was refreshing to see . When I was here he never smiled unless he was around me. And now smiling came easily for him, and I loved it.

My crew decided to dip and go catch a movie and let me and dontae spend some time with each other. We walked and talked for what seemed like forever, until it got dark outside. I had one question tho , so I asked. "What happened to you and Jess?" "Mane, we still together, but it's like I know she fuckin around." "Then, why are you with her?' I asked. "I care about her, and when you left she was there in person to low-key take my mind off shit." I nodded, I could understand that.  " No, excuse tho, I'm here and you know I got you." He nodded, and looked down at me. " You gotta nigga?" "I used to, but me and Mateo arent good for each other .."  he looked at me. " He hurt you." " Not physically.. just emotionally." I said playing with the chain on his chest.  " You don't deserve that shit ma, you here now and you know I always  got you." I smiled, that's why I loved my best friend.  " "Lemme get your number, we need to link up and do some shit tomorrow if you ain't busy." He said opening my door for me. I got In and turned towards him. "Gimme your phone Tae." He handed me his phone and I locked my number in, and he called me so I could save his number. "Ight, get home safe ma, call me when you get settled."  "I nodded and shut the car door starting it up. "I will, and make sure you get home safe too." I looked back making sure no one was behind me, and pulled my car out the parking lot and headed home. It was cool to see my best friend and kind of restart our friendship. Living in Cali was  gonna be easier if Dontae was on my side .

I got home about 15 minutes later because of traffic. I went straight to the shower , took care of everything, lotioned my body, and changed into some dark blue silk boyshorts and a dark blue matching silk button down shirt.  I crawled in bed, and turned on ghost adventures.  About a hour into my marathon , I got a text from Dontae.

Dontae: u home?

Me: yea my bad.. forgot to text you. You ok?

Dontae: uhmm.. yea can I slide through tonight.. I don't wanna be home rn

Me: yea you know ur welcome anytime besty.

Dontae: bet. Turn your location on

I turned my location on, and got up to put my clothes in the dirty clothes basket that were on my floor, and hopped back in bed to wait on Dontae.
