Jin's POV
Annie took out the food and we started eating. The boys ate like they hadn't eaten in days. I took it slow, so that Annie wouldn't be the last one still eating. "Hyung, you look a bit wet." Yoongi said to me. I look up to see that everyone else took notice too. Barely? I've been here for like 10 minutes now. "Yeah, it's raining outside." I answer, then taking another big bite of my steak. "Oh, so it did start raining!" Hoseok says. "Jin, aren't you cold?" Annie asks me. I shake my head no, but I really was. "You are cold. I can see that you have goosebumps on your arms. After dinner, you can take a warm shower. It will help. Okay?" She continues. "Okay." I say.
When the boys finished eating, they went to change into their pajamas. "Jin, how are you still eating? You usually finish eating fast." Annie says. "I'm waiting for you." I answer. She blushes and smiles at me. "Jin, you don't need to wait for me. Hurry and finish up." She says. I don't go against her because I'm cold and I would rather not argue. Just as I was about to say okay, Jimin and Jungkook come out to say something.
"Hyung, we're all gonna go to sleep since it's pretty late." Jimin says. "Yeah, so where are we sleeping, hyung?" Jungkook says. "I don't know." I say. "Can you ask her?" Jimin asks. "Why me? Jungkook knows English too." I say. "Not a lot, hyung. Please?" Jungkook insists. "Alright, alright." I agree. I turn to look at Annie. When I do, she turns to look down at her plate. I know she was trying to follow along. "Annie, where do we sleep?" I say. She looks up with her eyes wide open. "Oh, uh, well I have a couple of extra bedrooms you can take and a bed in the couch." She answers. I nod at her, then turn to the boys.
I explain to them what she said. "Ahh okay!" Jimin says with a big smile on his face. "Hyung, you can sleep on the couch bed. Right?" Jungkook says to me. "What? What if I wanted to room with someone?" I argue. "Hyung, we already made the rooming arrangements and we thought you would want a bed to yourself. Is that alright?" Jungkook says. I sigh and nod my head. "Yeah, that's alright." I say. They smile, then walk back to where they were. "What's wrong?" Annie asks. "Oh nothing. I guess I'm sleeping on the couch." I say with a smile. She laughs a little bit and says, "Well, the bed is comfortable, so you'll be fine." I smile as I look at her. Gosh, why do I feel like this when I look at her? We stay there for a minute just kind of looking at each other... until she turns away. "Um.. You should go take a shower. I'll clean up and make you some warm tea." She says. "Okay." I say while getting up and heading to the bathroom.
After taking a shower, I head over to the living room to find that the bed is already set up. I smile at the thought of Annie doing all of this for me. I look around and see a mug of tea ready with a note on the side of it.
Jin,
I'm in my room right now. So I left this out for you. It should still be warm. I set up everything for you. Stay warm so you don't get a cold! Goodnight~
I smile when I read the note. She's so cute. I take a drink of the tea and it's really good. I lay down on the bed and I close my eyes. Suddenly, there's a loud crash. I jump a little at how loud it was. I can see lightening through the window followed by more thunder. The boys and I have never had a problem sleeping through a loud rainstorm. I finish my tea and decide it's time to go to bed. I close my eyes and start to drift to sleep.
That is, until the light in the kitchen turned on. I open my eyes to see that Annie is the kitchen leaning on the counter. She probably can't sleep because of the storm. I get up and take my empty mug to the sink. When I pass by her, she doesn't seem to move. I walk up to her and wave my hand in front of her face. Is she asleep with her eyes open?
The sound of thunder roared through the house. Annie jumped and almost fell when I caught her in my arms. She grabs onto me. I can tell she's scared. "Annie, are you okay?" I ask her. She doesn't answer me right away. She's still holding onto me tightly as she looks up at me. I look at her with a worried expression. "Annie, are you okay?" I ask again. "Yeah. I'm just... I've always been a little scared of lightening and thunder. I normally don't sleep with storms like this." She answers as she moves off of me. She is scared.
"Well, what did you do when you were little?" I ask her. She takes a little time to think about it. "Well, I would cuddle up with my dog, but before I had a dog I would go sleep with my parents. It's pretty embarrassing." She says while looking away as she blushes. "No, not embarrassing. I think it's cute." I say with a smile. She gives me a little chuckle. "You must be sleepy. I'm sorry." She says. I shake my head. "I've been awake later than this a lot of times." I answer, honestly. "Oh yeah! I forgot you're an international superstar." She laughs. I look at her as she said that. "I forgot too." I say. It's true, I forgot about my career.
Every time there was thunder or lightening, she would close her eyes tightly and let out a small whimper of fear. I don't like to see her scared. I go up behind her and pick her up bridal style. "Jin, what are you doing?" She whisper- yells at me. "I don't like seeing you scared so I'm gonna try to help you get some sleep." I answer while walking to her room. I walk into her room and I place her on her bed. "Jin, Wh-" She starts before I cut her off. "Shhh... Just focus on trying to sleep." I say to her while going to the other side of the bed. I get into the bed next to her. "Lay all the down. Get comfortable." I say to her. Just as I finish, thunder loudly crashes and Annie buries herself under her covers and again grabs onto me.
When she calmed down, she noticed that she was holding onto me again. I feel her start to move away from me, but I hold onto her before she could move. She looks up at me with a surprised look on her face. "Jin, I've never shared a bed with a guy before." She confesses. I smile a little at how nervous she is. "Well, that's good to hear. But calm down, we're not doing anything. This is to get you through the night." I say. She gives me a small smile. "Now, relax." I say. and soon enough, she does.
"Jin, thank you for this." She says quietly. "I'd do anything for you." I whisper. I feel her snuggle her head into my chest as she slowly tries to sleep. With it being quiet and the only sound coming from the rain, my mind starts racing through so many thoughts. I really like Annie. Right now, we haven't really declared ourselves as anything. We know we like each other, but since the last time we saw each other, nothing has progressed. I want to change that. And I think now is the time. "Annie..." I say quietly. "Yeah?" She whispers. "Are you falling asleep yet?" I ask her. "Hmm...Not yet. I'm still awake." She whispers. "Are you sleepy?" I ask her. "A little bit, yeah." She answers. I'm just stalling now. Here goes nothing.
"Annie, can I ask you something?" I say. "Anything." She answers. "Okay. Well, you know how I feel about you. I like you a lot. What I'm trying to say is... Will you be my girlfriend?" I finally ask her. She pick her head up off my chest to look at me and I know she can see how nervous I am. "Jin..." She starts. Oh gosh. My heart is beating fast. "Of course, I will." She says with a smile. That beautiful smile. I give her a big smile as I feel so relieved that she said yes. "Good. Now, let's go to sleep." I say. She puts her head back down on my chest. I close my eyes knowing that this is the beginning of something special.
