Chapter Four

I guess I got lucky today. Harry didn't notice me and-
"Did you think you could get away that easily?"

I turned around to see Harry behind me.
"What?" I spoke carefully.
"You ran off so fast, I forgot to give you this." Harry handed me a small baggie. It had Darcy's tooth in it. Thank god that's all he meant.
"Thanks! She'd freak out if she realized she lost it." I slipped the bag into my purse and looked back up at Harry. His hands were shoved into his black skinny jeans, his plain white T-shirt failed to hide his tattoos, seeing as they were all visible even underneath the fabric. His hair was pushed back, and his posture leaned to one side. It always did that. If you were to take a picture with him, you'd have to be on the leaning side, seeing as if you were on the other side It'd look as if you smelt. Something many people see but don't know why. It's actually because one leg is longer than the other.
"So," He cleared his throat and scratched his neck. "She's a very nice little girl. Real happy and bouncy all the time, yeah?" He slightly smiled and made eye contact with me. I nodded, forgetting how to talk. His eyes were just as green as they used to be, his smile was the same and those dimples. I was completely staring at this point. I had to stop this, I can't let anything between us happen. No unexpected feelings or touching.
"Y-yeah. She's a very happy girl. She can really brighten up somebody's day. She seems to do that a lot with me." I spoke, trying to keep my eyes from coming into contact with his. The wind picked up and I folded my arms, trying to keep them warm.
"It's uh, getting cold out here. I'm sure you want to go home and put her to bed." Harry suggested and I nodded.
"I should do that, she seems to be worn out. Probably from all the jumping around she did." I laughed a little and he grew a smile.
"Yeah, she seems to be a big fan!"
"Huge." I corrected him. He nodded and the silence grew around us again.
"Well I'm gonna go," I looked up at him and he nodded. "It was nice meeting you, Harry." I stuck my hand out and he shook it.
"It's nice seeing you again, Emma." He made it a point to point out the again. It got me questioning. He yanked me close to him, me stumbling into him. "I hope you won't play dumb next time we meet, you're not a hard book to read. You may look different but I know who you really are." He pulled away and took off for the back door. I was left standing there, totally dumbfounded. He did know, that bastard.
Beeeeeeeep
The car honk made me look back. I saw Cassie waving at me. I ran over to the driver side and got in.
"What was all that about?" She questioned me. I gulped and leaned back into my seat.
"He knows." I whispered. She heard me because she grabbed my hand and rubbed it with her thumb.
"Maybe this could be for the best." She spoke back to me. "Or the worst," I mumbled. I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. I started up the car and put it in drive, my destination being home. I just needed to sleep this day off.

BEEP BEEP BEEP
I rolled over to my nightstand and grabbed my phone quickly. I swiped the unlock button to turn the alarm off and laid back down. Sundays were always the best for me. Darcy goes to my moms, Cassie comes over, we watch love movies all day and gossip about what's happening. Except today is different.
