THE PAST:

Eric wants to get to Park to take the old man so that the old man will enjoy it.

He thought he wished that, that's what he was thinking about after seeing the old man.

Then suddenly.

"Can we just go to the park, using the wheelchair?!" said Palone

Eric was surprised too. He wondered if he had read what he thought. The important thing is that he did not want to go to the park that they would care for him.
