Chapter Four

Graham sat in the girls room on Phoebes' bed; when they had gotten home they found that Phoebe had left them a note saying she would be eating at 5:00 in the main cabin, so when the clock struck 9:30 he started to worry.

'She needs your help.' His conscious told him.

'No she doesn't, she's a big girl who can take care of herself.' He responded.

'Yes she does and you know she does, you just don't want to be an over protective boyfriend.' His conscious snapped.

'We aren't even dating..' He left the end hanging.

'Trust me she needs your help, you'll thank me after.' It told him.

Graham jumped up deciding that he was going to look for Phoebe, just maybe his conscious could be right like it always is. He walked over to his coat hanging on the back of the door and grabbed his pocket flashlight from his coat pocket.

" Hey buddy boy, where you going?" Gage asked

" I'm going to find Phoebe."

" Uh, why?" Skylar chimed in.

" It's passed 9:30, right now she would be getting ready for bed and we all know that."

Instead of arguing both Gage and Skylar simultaneously said, " Alright but I'm coming." They both looked at each other with surprise written all over their faces as much as Graham loved watching those two surprise he's was more worried about Phoebe. Graham grabbed his gun n' holster and shoved it on his belt, he darted out the door with the other two close behind him. Graham first went to the cabin to make certain that she wasn't there. Graham sprinted down towards the path that Phoebe described on the note, they came up to an intersection where it splits right and left, Graham decided to go right knowing thats Phoebes favorite direction. They came up to where a cliff was, you could see straight out and to the mountains. Graham saw nothing, nothing at all, he was so disappointed, he was hoping that he would find her.

Graham pulled out his flashlight, hating what he was thinking he turned on his light and pointed down at the cliff, all the way down till the beam of light couldn't go any further. He dreaded what he saw, Phoebe lying on a piece of jutted out rock just big enough for her to be on, his breath caught in his throat, her beautiful face was swollen and bruised, dried blood stuck some of her hair to her face.

" My god." Graham choked out.

" What." Skylar whispered.

" La-Look for yourself." He whispered back, his voice raspy.

Skylar slowly leaned over the edge and gasped at what she saw tears stinging her eyes, she quickly slapped her hand to her mouth and fell to her knees, tears escaping from her eyes. Gage rushed over to Skylars side (knowing it was strange for her to cry, she was an ex-cop for crying out loud!) he grabbed her elbows and pulled her up and into him she turned around and cried into his chest. Gage still had yet to see but he wasn't gonna risk it he probably could make a pretty good guess by the way Sky was hurting.

" Hey, hey it's gonna be alright, she's gonna be alright, okay?" Gage soothed her.

" I'm gonna need you two to go back to the main cabin and see if they have any rope we can use." Graham spoke to Gage.

" Come on let's go get some rope, I'll leave her at the cabin, okay?" Gage spoke to Sky and Graham. After Gage took off in the other direction with Skylar tucked into his arms, bridle style. Graham got down and spoke to Phoebe, reassuring her (even if she was unconscious) that he was going to help her.
