Alina: New Beginnings?

Chapter 3: Back at school

The weekend has passed, it's Monday

"Hey Alina, what's new?", Andy said to Alina asked he walked with her in line to get breakfast.

"Uhh umm( should I tell him..no..Alissa has to be there too) Alina thought to herself. Uh..nothing, why would anything be new, everything's the same nothing new nothing just...yea...what's new with you? Alina responded to Andy; ( well played Alina, well played) as Alina thought to herself.

"Alina...are you ok? You seem a bit...nervous about something...what's on your mind?", Andy said to Alina seeming a bit concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine Andy", Alina said to Andy as the have their trays in their hands walking up to punch their lunch number in.

Alina punches her lunch number in then waits for Andy...a few seconds later they walked over to the table and sat down as more people came.

"Heyyy Alissaaa!", Alina said excitedly as Alissa walks over to the table.

"Hi Andy, hi Alina", Alissa said as she sat down.

"So Alina has been acting a bit weirder than usual and you know what that means...", Andy said to Alissa and they both started to state at Alina.

"She's hiding something?", Alissa finishes Andy sentence.

"Me...hiding something...what are you guys talking about...not that I'm saying both of you are a guy...umm so how's the weather...how was your weekend?", Alina says as she's spiraling out.

"It was alright; it was interesting", Andy and Alissa responded.

"So anything interesting happened over the weekend or within the pass week because you seem a little bit off and I didn't wanna say anything but it's been a week...come on tell us what's going?", Alissa said to Alina.

"Umm...do you see the time...let's dump our trays we have about 5 minutes left", Alina says trying to let time runoff.

"Alina...", Andy says to Alina sounding concerned.

"I'll talk to you guys later just not right now, especially the state of where things are and where I'm at and my family...I've said too much...I'm sorry I just can't tell you anything right now, I'll talk to you guys later", Alina explained to them.

First period bell rings. It's 7:30am.

"Okay class, how was your weekend?...anyone...okay I'll go...it was really fun I did a lot of stuff...went to a new restaurant..went dancing...", Ms. Jackson (the art teacher) said to the whole class.

"Okay, class I want you go draw something that represented your weekend or an event that happened during the course of last week. Something that has been holding you back or what you want to bring to someone's attention", Ms. Jackson explained the class' assignment.

"Okay, so do I actually do this assigment or do I do this assignment, do I actually do this assignment and explain to the class without talking to my best friends or do I just do this...ahh I'm just going to do this...it's too complicated...(Alina talking to her self in her head)..."Okay so I'm just gonna draw stuff about music and something about discovery...okay my discovery of new music yea that's what represented my weekend..yep", Alina is now finished with her assignment.

20 minutes has passed

"Okay class you have 5 minutes...5 minutes then I'll call on some of you to present your assignments", Ms. Jackson warned the class.

"Okay times is up, Alina you're up, class shh be quiet, okay Alina", Ms Jackson said.

"Okay so..."Alina started and then presented and then about 15 minutes went by for presentations, after presentations passed it was two minutes before the bell was ready to ring for 2nd period.

"Okay class, start packing up and you're dismissed when the bell rings", Ms. Jackson starts informing the class.

Bell rings for second period

"Hey Alina, wait up stop walking fast, I just saw you get out of class", Alissa yelled to Alina when she got out of class.

"Okay, alright", Alina responded.

"So what's up...how's the stuff", Alissa asked Alina awkwardly.

"Its umm uhh yea...", Alina answered silently.

"You see what you're making me do Alina...ughhh come on tell me", Alissa got frustrated with Alina.

"Well I'm sorta...have to go", Alina said trying to run off to class.

"I know where you live, and Andy does too! We'll pick this up later", Alissa yelled at Alina.

"Not anymore...", Alina whispered to herself as she finds herself to class.

2nd period science class

"Hey Hayley", Alina said to Hayley as she sits beside her.

"What's up, how did it go, did you tell them anything?",Hayley asked Alina.

"Well it didn't...go", Alina answered to Hayley.

"Please talk to them as soon as possible", Hayley advised to Alina.

Fast forward to lunch. Alina, Alissa and Andy already got their lunch and is now sitting at the table. Meanwhile Hayley and the rest of the members are watching her from the other tables.

"So guys it's time for me to talk", Alina said to both Alissa and Andy catching their attention.

"Um..you think", Alissa said angrily at Alina.

"I mean go on, I'm sorry", she apologized to her.

"Okay please tell us what's been going on", Andy said to Alina sounding concerned.

"Okay so remember when my parents died", Alina started off explaining to them.

"Yeah...yes", both of them answered her.

"Well Uncle Cole and the rest of the family was just putting up with me because of them and after they passed everything seemed off...fast forward to last week I found out that Uncle Cole really didn't want to take care of me (Alina starts to tear up) and he said "you born an accident you wasn't suppose to be here and your parent wasn't sure if they were going to keep you, but your aunt somehow talked them into keeping you and kept this from you, after you were born everything changed this family changed for the worst just because of you. Everything just had to be all about you, you, you!". After that I ran out crying I didn't really know what to do so I went into an ally way and a few hours later a girl found me. She's a gang member...," Alina continues on with talking to Alissa and Andy.

"Wait...a gang member, don't tell me you...", both Andy and Alissa cut off Alina.

"So that night...that night I was introduced to everyone and they took me in and I found out that Hayley is apart of the gang, and some of them goes here, so we're looking out for each other. So the name of the gang is Lialpha which is a lion fused with an alpha dole and it's also their tattoos which represents, so it's my time soon to get one be because...", Alina still continues to tell them.

"Because??", both Andy and Alissa asked anxiously.

"Because I'm apart of the gang too (Alina starts crying) guys I'm so sorry I didn't tell you anything. You guys are my best friends and I shouldn't have kept any of this from you, especially something like this", Alina said to them while getting emotional.

"It's okay Alina we're always here for you no matter what, you know that, I know that", Alissa said to Alina.

"And please Alina just know we'll always, always be here for you", Andy said to Alina while reaching in to hug her and then Alissa joined.

"Thank you guys for not getting mad at me and just being here", Alina said after hugging them and wiping her eyes.

"Okay so let's go dump our trays", Andy said to Alina and Alissa.
