⚠️ Slight trigger warning ⚠️
His vision finally came into focus. Sitting on the opposite side of him was a small boy?....girl?

ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
Keith couldn't tell. He didn't recognize her. She was wearing a baggy green sweater and shorts. Glasses with a thin to almost no frame that swallowed up her face. Her hair was short but curled upwards almost like a cartoon. She looked at Keith with slight fright but shook her head to reveal she too angry that they had collided.

Keith decided to give this small human the Benefit of doubt, standing up to leave. Some students were staring to see if Keith would initiate anything. He almost wanted to start a fight with those people. Fucking instigators. Shouldn't they be getting to class? Keith gritted his teeth. He looked at the girl staring at him with wide eyes, flustered. Did she ... want something? Keith stared back in confusion. He was on the verge of uncomfortableness once the girl came at him hands flailing.

"Cmon man you seriously could have damaged my laptop!" She shouted, Keith cringed, "Its so important..just..ughh!" She groaned clearly not happy with there accident.
Keith felt bad. His cheeks burned from embarrassment and the stares of others. He rubbed his head due to a headache that started to form from thinking to much. When he looked back up there was that person who had shouted at him before he had rammed the little girl and a tall lanky Hispanic boy. The Hispanic boy looked like he was modeling for H&M Keith couldn't help but notice. What the hell? He thought. He didn't have the time for a fight if this is what these boys were aiming for.

"Pidge calm down he was just trying to get into the gates." the bigger dude said with a fond voice. Keith thanked him internally.
"Hunk! Are you serious? This jerk totally should have watched were he was going! He could have broken Pidge!" The skinny boy protested.

Keith wanted to punch him. Lucky for him this so called "Pidge" did it for him. Socking him in the arm she said, "You hoe, I'm perfectly fine I was just worried about my laptop. Hunks right. I overreacted." Pidge looked at Keith with a lopsided smile.
"Sorry man, I totally understand the whole rushing to get into school thing. You probably just wanna be left alone." Pidge said kindly while lance rubbed his arm dramatically in pain. "Also I couldn't help but noticed you burned up. Is that from embarrassment or anger? People tend to blush in the ear, or cheeks first when embarrassed. Angers more of a whole face getting red type thing but that doesn't seem to be the cas-" Pidge ranted but hunk ended it with a simple ,
"Pidge hardly anyone noticed," Hunk looked a Keith goofily, " In fact hate to break it to ya but people were more focused on that guy." Keith wanted to stop talking to these people but couldn't help but follow hunks chubby finger.

Shit.

Is it possible to throw up when you have nothing in you're stomach? Keith wish he still had his long mullet so he could hang himself with it that very moment. Death sounds like an option right about now he thought.

Across from him was none other than his infamous boy crush Shiro.

He was fully built. More built than at the camp. He was still really y'all. He was different though. He had a weird scar across the bridge of his nose. How does one even achieve looking handsome with such a big scar. Then his hair was a whole other story. It was jet black with a tiny curly white fringe. I guess Keith wasn't the only one who got a makeover this summer.

"Uh hey dude you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." Lance says laughing nervously. Hunk and Pidge look at Keith inspecting him too.

"I-I Uhh um." Keith tried to speak but the words tasted like copper on his tongue. He couldn't spit it out. Was he okay? No most defiantly not.

Oh no. They made eye contact. Shiro looked right at Keith. A look of shock ran over his face.  Keith couldn't breathe. This isn't real? Shiro stopped having whatever conversation he was having with previous students and started making his way toward Keith. Keith's legs felt stuck to the floor. No no no no!

Finally Keith got enough power to run towards the gate. He almost started sprinting. Everyone was looking now if they weren't before. I mean they were quite a sight. Keith was too scared to look back even as he huffed and past students. He was now in the halls quietly but quickly trying to find an escape route.

Yes! Perfect there was the door that led to an old choir room hat is now filled with broken band equipment that the school likes to think they will fix. Keith slid into it. Quickly glancing over his shoulder to see if he was being followed. Nope the halls were still full of busy, unbothered students. Keith's not religious but thank god.

Once he finally caught his breath and calmed down he let his thought process function again. Why was Shiro here? He shouldn't be in a high school? He was seventeen last time they talked. This all hurt Keith's head. He had broke there promise. His eating habits worse than usual thanks to the start of school. He wouldn't be able to live with Shiro's pity and disapproval. Would Shiro even want to talk to him? Keith thought all the worst in that closet. He finally came to a conclusion.

He was gonna ignore Shiro at all cost. Dodging any questions about what had happened in the morning. No correlation between them will be shown. Shiro who?

Keith was a liar. He was okay to tell him self that. But he would never tell Shiro about how his aunt keeps telling him about sending him to a rehabilitation center. Or all the new pills he had to take. Or the one meal he has to force him self to eat everyday. Keith covers his mouth to stop the ugly choking sob noise from coming out.

He was pathetic.
