I awake on the floor, covered with blankets. It is the next day, I believe. Everything from yesterday is a blur. I wonder what happened that made me pass out. All I remember is dancing with Dayana then everything else, I don't remember.

"Good morning, Paul"

"Dayana! you scared me!"

"I'm sorry, Paul, are you feeling better now?"

"What happened?"

"If I tell you will you not freak out?"

"I'll try not to."

"Alright then,"

"Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in the United States."

"After I told you that, you went crazy and I tried to comfort you until you calmed down and eventually passed out."

"Oh I'm very sorry, he was such a big inspiration to rock n' roll music, he inspired the band and I."

"Paul, don't worry, he left beautiful songs and his legacy will live on forever, and one day you will also be a legend, along with your band, I know it."

"Thank you for believing in me so much and in the Quarrymen."

"Well, you have such talent and I know you will go far, girls will be screaming your name." she winks at me.

"Well, I got my eyes on only one girl,?"

"Ah, and who may it be?"

"It's you." I lean in and our lips meet together. We kiss a passionate kiss, like in those movies, very romantic but sweet.

"Thank you for being here for me, this is a rough time, but it's not that bad since you are here."

She smiles and just nods. She sits on my lap as she hugs me, very gently, not wanting to hurt me, which is very unlikely. Her hugs can cure me from anything.

"We should go now?" I ask Dayana, gently.

"Alright, Paul."

After we finish packing the things, we exchange a quick kiss and drive off. I can't wait until the summer so we can go swimming together and I will be turning 17.

"Well I guess you'll be missing classes again."

"We'll both be missing classes." She rest her arm on my thigh, and immediately my legs stiffen up. Her touch is so gentle that it can make me melt.

"Paul?" I turn my head to look at her.

"Yes, love?"

"I love you."

"I love you too, so very much."

I turn up the radio, they have been playing Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper nonstop.

"We will now be playing 'Come On, Let's Go' by Ritchie Valens"

"Oh! I love this song!" Dayana's smile appears.

"I do too, Ritchie had that amazing voice."

"He did."

Well, come on,

let's go, let's go,

let's go, little darlin'

Tell me that you'll

never leave me

Come on, come on,

let's go again
