" Year 11,12 and 13 assembly will commence in 10 minutes in the school hall." The voice of the secretary Lorraine Bird.
As I stood up to wash my face you almost walked straight into Mr Bell.
"Where do you think your going then?"
"To wash my face what do you think!"
"Not until after assembly"
I stood shocked with the word Cory's on your forehead.
" Well I guess the whole school will know who you belong to now." Cory still had his smirk but it was bigger than you'd ever seen it before.
"Today is the day when two completely segregated schools, Stanley Nunn High School and St Jerome Community College start a new life together, we will not require improvement."
"Yeah right." I whisper to Cory my head on his shoulders as he plays with my hair. He laughs and twirls my hair. Miss Keane shoots us a disapproving look
"We will not settle for good, together we can be outstanding." There was a large applause then another man I did not know start talking.
"Thank you Mrs Carter, hello Ackley Bridge for those who don't me I am the school sponsor Sadiq Nawaz, me and Mrs Carter have worked closely together in the planning of this merger school, and have made an effort to delve deeper into one another cultures."
"OOH-LA-LA" Shouted someone in front of me I laughed into Cory's shoulder.
"Over the summer Mrs Carter accompanied me and some of the other governors on a trip to Pakistan." Sadiq continued.
"Argh a research trip." I shout causing Mr Bell to give me a dirty look
"We hope our friendship can be an example to this school." Sadiq concluded
Cory turned to me and whispered "I think you should come over to my place tonight and we can explore our friendship."
" You wish" I reply
Cory's head turned when he heard his brother snigger. "Oi" He whisper shouted to his younger brother "What are you smiling for?" His grip on my hand tighten. His brother just bit his lip and turned away
Sorry for the late update I will try and update tomorrow but I don't think I'll do all three episodes before Wednesday.
